4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
First off, this bottle says best by March 18th 2013, so itís about a week past its prime. Pretty clear beer with some small particles floating around. Two fingers worth of head that stays at about one through the glass. Very nice lacing. The aroma is of spice and malt with hops there, but definitely in the background and more subtle (I presume because of the age of this beer). The taste is... interesting. Truth be told, it tastes like V8 juice to me as far as the "spice" is concerned, but without any vegetable notes (thank God). Sweet through the front of each sip, with a slightly bitter, spicy finish. Really, I get a LOT of peppery notes in HopDevil, and I donít mind. The mouthfeel is smooth, and a slight coating is left in the mouth on each sip. HopDevilís a very good beer, and this oneís not even fresh. I would try this again out of a fresher bottle.

3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours almost amber with a thick tan head. Aroma is more bread and cereal than hops. Surprisingly complex. Starts bitter and stays bitter with serious grapefruit and dank hops, but then a soft, almost tropical fruit finish that comes in after the dankness. Itís a tad too bitter overall for me, but impressive nonetheless.

Bottle pour. Pours a dark orange, half a finger head. Not much aroma to speak of. Floral hop taste balanced by plenty of malt. Pretty good.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a cloudy dark orange with an average size foamy off-white head. Aroma of citrus hops with a touch of malt to balance it out. Taste is flavourful-- citrus hops galore but still nicely balanced with malt. Medium bodied. Easy to drink.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
355ml bottle from DMs with BB 3/11/15. Clear dark orange with an ample white head. Hoppy aromas with stonefruit (apricot), pine resin and citrus to the fore on top of a caramel biscuity malt bill. Taste is balanced bittersweetness with a substantially resinous dry hop finish that lingers. Palate is medium-fullish bodied and spritely. A great American-style IPA.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle. Code date of 8/9/15. Appearance: Deep amber and clear with a light khaki head.
Aroma: relatively faint hop aroma for an American IPA. Some floral and herbal notes, but itís minimal. Caramel malt also noticeable.
Taste: Rich caramel and toasty malt flavors dominate, with a sharp hop bitterness that has some herbal and resinous notes.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with some viscosity and low carbonation.
Finish: Some lingering herbal bitterness and caramel malt.
Overall: Definitely an east coast as opposed to west coast IPA. More malt balanced than a west coast IPA. Drinks like a slightly hoppier American Amber

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Amber, big foam. Filtered. Grassy resinous fruoty hops in the nose. Medium body. Taste is a bit flat, not incredible!
