Poured draught at Stags Head NYC. Pours clear dark orange with thick compact head. Smells of citrus and hops. Taste is citrus pith bitterness but very balanced. The bitterness does not linger here, the finish is smooth. Great mouthfeel. Very balanced IPA.

Pours hazy orange. Strong citrus notes. Extreme grapefruit taste but finishes clean. A great IPA that Iíll come back to.

MadRobin (1829) - Silver Spring, USA - JUL 4, 2014
Poured from 12 oz. bottle. Clearly, bright orangey amber with a 1-finger khaki head and good lacing. Aroma of caramel, light fruit and floral hops. Taste of caramel, citrus and fruity hops. Medium body and high/medium carbonization. The name of this beer was is deceptive. (Malt Devil would be closer to reality.) It's a fairly straightforward fruity IPA with a lot of malt and only a little hop complexity. Pleasant to drink, but nothing special. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle pour. Subtle, if not plain, aroma of beans and nuts. Slight caramel. Hoppy but not so much, good strong palate but was hoping for more flavor. Nothing special.

Pours a good copper with a small white head that leaves close to no lacing. Nose is of hop extract and maybe a little tropical fruits. Not unpleasing but slightly awkward and unrefined to me. Taste is strongly bitter without any malt background to balance it out so it is just harsh really, lke strong hop juice. Iím not one to complain about the obliteration of malt usually but in this case it would surely have helped. Body was medium, carbonation pretty high and mouthfeel lightly sticky. Overall I was underwhelmed, it was lacking finesse and I cannot understand how someone would give 4+ to that.

This was a good beer, not as hoppy as expected. I think that this was a little hyped up honestly I heard a lot of positive things about this one and I do agree with most but it was an 8 beer in my opinion.

Nicely malty, sweet with a nice citrus/pine hops bitterness. I canít believe it took me this long to try it (at least I donít remember trying it before). Itís actually quite good.

Eerily little aroma given power packed levels of flavor. A heavy and spicy finish! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(35 cl bottle from Toft Vin; No visible BBD) Pours a semi-clear amber with big, creamy, white head and some relatively big bubles. Good retention and beautiful lace. Aroma is almost non-existent, which leads me to believe that this has been on the shelf for quite a while at the retailer. Maybe subtle hints of citrus and a hint of toffee in the nose but itís really hard to tell. Oily texture, full bodied with a lingering, bitter finish. Flavour is rather hop bite bitter and gives added emphasis to piney hops.
