Bold, spicy and menacingly delicious, this American-hopped India Pale Ale offers an aromatic punch and then follows through with a lasting, full-bodied finish.

12 oz bottle. Deep, clear amber color. Frothy tan head. To be honest, I didn’t pick up much of anything on the aroma..quite odd actually, considering the taste is very hop-driven. Light caramel malts and a touch of hops, that’s it. The taste is definitely more bold, with an earthy malt presence and a thick blanket of floral hops. I’ll probably take hell for this, but I think HopDevil is certainly one of the more overrated IPAs out there. I’ve tried it a number of times and I’ve yet to be blown away by it. Worth a shot, absolutely. Near the top of it’s class? Not in my book..

Rotgold, voller Schaum.

Tap into a shaker showing moderate filtration and tanned honey. The nose is subtle and light, very difficult to tell much if anything at all. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied, with a light IPA bitterness on the finish. Big malty sweetness throughout, not much else.

Pours an orange golden color. Has about a two finger thick tan head. Pretty lacing around the glass.

Aroma is spicy citrusy. It’s got some pepper in it. Also some caramel malt.

Taste is quite hoppy and pretty bitter. Has a citrus kick right at the end. It’s a little sweet, but the bitter wins out.

Mouthfeel is bitter. A little oily. Finishes bitter sweet. It’s medium bodied.

Overall, it’s a good IPA. Great even. I would certainly buy again.

On nitro, poured into a stein. The aroma is, as expected, mellow (being on nitro and all) with hints of caramel and bitter citrus and a dampness in the background. It pours a brilliant rich brown amber with an off white creamy head that has the great, dense retention and dense abundant lace one would expect from a nitro pour. The taste is a mellow, balanced medium bittersweet. The creamy texture has a smooth fuzz to it and it’s medium body it a blend of sweet citrus, toffee, and bread crust that finishes a bit roasty with a spice zip that truns to bittersweet citrus rind and an aftertaste that’s slightly burnt coffee and french baguette.

Flaska från saveur-bier. Bärnstensfärdad med krämigt smutsvitt skum. Fin doft men rer malt än humle i doften. Fudge, caramell, lite gräs och stenfrukt. Mjuk len munkänsla, lite jordig och karmallig typ en amber ale, gräs, persika, aprikos, tallskott. Måttlig beska. En snäll mjuk maltig IPA. Riktigt trevlig.

Flaska@OT. Mörkt bärnstenfärgad vätska med lågt skum. Söt nästan karamellig i doften.
