5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
UPDATED: JUL 4, 2012 An amazing take on an IPA. I smell citrus and spicy floral hops with the sweet malt in the background. I also get that unique potent hop grapefruit smell that you can only get from whole cone hop beers. The taste is spicy hops up front ending with the malt sweetness that gives off some cinnamon brown sugar malt tastes that mixes in with the citrus bitter grapefruit dry hop at the end. The whole flower hops are a unique twist to this IPA and you can tell the difference between this and others of the style. To compare it to another beer I’d say its close to how Sierra Nevada’s Celebration Ale tastes. Excellent beer.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tap @ Hoprevolution Vol.2. Pours with a nice white head that stays. Aroma is sweet, somewhat subtle with fruity hops and some.. marmalade. Also fruity lemonade, a bit bitter, orange pear cider. Hmm… Taste is soft and surprisingly smooth, bitterness is well balances with malt roundness. Aftertaste is long and pleasant, sweet-dry. Nice beer where alcohol content is perfectly hidden and that feels nice and refreshing.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is a slightly cloudy medium amber with a quick eruption of cream colored head that fizzles within a minute or two. The aroma is earthy and spicy but not overpowering in either instance. Also an odd drop of butter. The body is medium and astringent. The taste emphasizes the earthy, resiny hops before anything else. Mild to moderate bitterness at the end. There are better ones to try.

On tap at the rover. Maybe not the freshest example..... Very citrusy aroma. The taste is similar with some caramely background. A little sweet finish.

Solid classic IPA. Lots of new world hops with a blend of citrus (grapefruit), pine and copper. Quite sharp and bitter. Punchy. Very good.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This beer pours a deep orange color with a nice white head that provides a lot of lacing and never leaves. Smell is a bit floral and citrusy, the taste is fairly similar balances a bit of malts, the finish was not so dry which I enjoy.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Chilled bottle, no date that I can see but this arrived from the USA about 2 days ago according to the guy in the shop. A clear dark orange beer with a red tinge, very slightly sparkling, very little head. Looks decent - it’s a nice colour. Smells of the steam room at the gym, syrupy hops, apple juice. Body is medium to light, light carbonation. Taste is lemony hops, sweet malts, lager-like finish with a touch of spice. Mild and easy drinking IPA. Good.

Appearance: Clear amber/copper with 2 finger thick ivory head.
Aroma: Lemon, grapefruit, musky, bread and umami.
Taste: Medium bitterness and sourness with low sweetness.
Palate: Thick grainy texture, light/medium body, average carbonation, astringent abrupt citrus finish.
Comments: Very nice, upfront punchy grapefruit bitter finish followed by a lingering sourness. Glass lace.
