Growler from Joe Canal’s in Lawrenceville, NJ. Pale yellow gold color with a medium-sizes creamy white head with nice lacing. Fresh citrusy wheat malt aroma has elements of lemon, yeast and minerals. Flavor is crisp and dry with notes of citrus and spicy wheat malt. Very flavorful and refreshing and true to the style.

Pours a clear golden yellow on tap with fluffy white head that sticks nicely. Aroma of German yeast and wheat. Taste follows, clean and well balanced, an American hefe I might be able to actually drink.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 rbrazell (1013) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 6, 2013
Draft at Proof. Pale golden pour with a small bubbly white head. Sweet bubblegum aroma with pale wheat malts, subtle spice and yeast with a catty hop presence. Flavor is similar with a silky mouthfeel and spicy and catty hop kick at the end. Not bad and very drinkable.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 weihenweizen (1198) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - APR 28, 2013
Growler from the brewpub through trade with Watson1977. Less than two weeks tap to consumption. Pours clear pale golden with medium white head. Nice small bubble lacing, medium body, medium carbonation and spicy aroma. Taste is complex spicy, yeasty, and some esters. Just as much a belgian ale as a hefeweizen? Not one of my favorites, but different.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ttutony (571) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 25, 2013
Pale yellow with a slight haze. Spicy yeast aroma. Fairly light on the palate. Finishes clean.

Growler from JC’s. Really abundantly estery nose, just throwing them off left and right, golden sunshine with some lemongrass and a lot of lemony citrus, yeast. Golden body with a lacing, fluffy bright white head. Crisp and minerally taste, principally yeasty with strong citrus (and rising orange) and faint bubblegum. Low bitterness, but a nice depth piece. Meidum body. Good quencher, worked well as a lawn mower despite the extra alc. Definitely a Victory Weizen strain, the kind that inspires strong feelings on both sides.
3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20 thedm (4783) - Fort Wayne, USA - FEB 28, 2013
This draft brew from the brew pub poured a small sized head of no head finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a softly carbonated transparent yellow orange colored body and an excellent lacing. The mild aroma was malt hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The good flavor contained notes of wood wheat hops and malt. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

Draft at the source. Clear yellow color, thin white edge head. Aroma of banana bubblegum. Taste is similar.

Strange it has taken me this long to get around to it, but it was worth the wait. Nice traditional hefeweisen that actually has some body. No orange or lemon would go in this. Nice and bready on its own with a bit of cirtus.

Nice citrus yeast. Color is great. Flavor is traditional Weiss bier, maybe a bit stronger the your typical. Good drinker.
