Poured a dark brown color with a thin white head. Aroma had lots of rye with some cereal and wood. Taste also had lots of rye with bread and toast flavors. Very crisp and flavorful. Smooth too. Very nice.

OMG this was really good! TAP BEEER. had notes of scribbles, and doodles. also some nice roast, toasted hazelnuts, with a pleasant toffee touch. reminded me of that old surly mild that i loved so much. what a beer!

Draft. Pours brown with a beige head. Toasted malts, light sweetness, a hint of rye malts, and some lighter floral hoppy notes in the finish. Pretty good.

Draft at blind tiger. Pours a deep brownish boy with thin off white lacing. Aroma is sweet malts, paper, wood and light roast. Mouthfeel is medium with mild carbonation and notes of sweet roast, very light meat, wood and malts in the back.

Several 10oz pours at the Big Hunt. Pours a transparent, cola brown with some soft white head. Nose is malty, spicy, rye, crackers, bread, a little citrus. Flavor is lightly sweet, bready, rye, crackers, spice, biscuit, malt. Medium bodied, dry finish. Very sessionable. Very nice.

Barcade, Philadelphia tap: Pours a dark brown body. Aroma is rye and malts with a chocolatey touch. Taste is somewhat sweet. Has good many notes of rye malt. Body is really full and flavour is as well. ’Tis a grand session ale.
