COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dark amber wheat beer features fruity and spicy aromas galore. Significant strength underlies the pleasant citric appeal of this bock beer. Redolent with the flavors of harvest fruit, Moonglow typifies the traditional weizenbock-style so thoroughly enjoyed throughout Bavaria. Left unfiltered, its unique yeast strain gives Moonglow a radiance all its own.

12oz bottle into a snifter. Pours a hazy medium brown with a huge fluffy white head that nearly flows out of the glass. Head retention is out of this world. Aroma has loads of bubblegum along with coriander. Lots of yeasty spiciness. Maybe just a touch of grass. Lots of spice in the flavor that really jumps out. There is a touch of caramel that I didn’t pick up in the aroma along with some additional malt character. Some grape juice and just a hint of noble hops. Mouthfeel is just a touch on the thin side but alcohol is well hidden. Overall, a very good weizenbock and one I thoroughly enjoyed, despite not being a huge fan of the style. I would definitely get this one again.

Poured a darker amber color with a medium tan head. Aroma is malty and sweet with banana and yeast. Some toffee and caramel too. Taste has lots of grains with raisins and dark fruit. Good malty flavors. Taste transitions into a darker fruity aftertaste with some caramel and dates. Somewhat spicy with cloves and earthy. Tasty!

From bottles and Cans. Lovely stuff. All the Hefeweizen qualities just more so but avoids being syrupy. Serving: Bottle

Wow, had this as a follow up to a Victory Winter Cheer.... heffe to weizenboch .... Big dirty foamy head...weird almost grapefruit citrus, bit syrupy...definitely light enough to be troublesome at 8.7%...I make no promises for my next reviews tonight....

Sweet and syrupy with noticeable alcohol presence. Not my style preference but can appreciate the victory craftsmanship that went into this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dust-tan-colored head, medium-fine, fast to fade to splotchy film. Hazy-to-cloudy amber orange. Aroma is clove, lemongrass, bit of toffee and hint of banana. Body is medium, slightly syrupy/oily, with a soft, fuzzy carbonation. Flavor is clove, wheaty spice, a bit boozy (surprisingly). Surprisingly yummy. This is reawakening a desire for other beers in this style. A job well done. No flaws to speak of.

Draft. hazy dark amber color, medium beige head. Aroma of banana bubblegum and brown bread. Taste has lightly spiced caramel. Decent.

Bottle from ABC. Pours a super dark amber with a very large, frothy head. Smells of fruit are immediate, banana being the most apparent; maybe some darker fruits as well. Lacing is wonderful and almost layered after every sip. Flavor is mostly sweet throughout, medium bodied and a little dry on the finish. Acquire. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a rich caramel color with a HUGE head. Delicious, with citrus and banana notes, plus some malt flavor.
