HogTownHarry (3267), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada May 7, 2008 Bottle (12oz). Shared with garthicus, via trade with goldtwins. Murky brick red with a small off-white head. Really like that aroma - dry, musty wood bitterness, yeast and muted sweet caramel malt and cocoa. Taste - same, sweeter with dry mocha, still woody and leafy, tartness creeps in to the malt in the finish. Thin but chewy body, lightly acidic and carbonated, it tapers off a tad as it finishes, but quite tasty.

Great beer. 17thfloor (721), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 18, 2008 Pours a murky dull orange/brown with a lovely thick creamy beige head. Great weizenbock aroma, spicy, clove, sweet wheat and caramel, banana and some alcohol. A great beer! and in a six-pack and 9%! First taste is definitely a little bit hot, some sweet caramel, bitter alcohol, fermented banana, and light spices. Lighter more watery body than expected in a weizen, still has that fine sizzling carbonation though. So drinkable for 8.7%. Love it! why does it have to be a seasonal though!!! big_bish (115), USA Jul 28, 2008 Pours a hazy amber color with not much head. What is there disipates quickly. Aroma is yeast and apricot. Taste is crisp and spicey, slight cidery feel. Lots of yeast taste.
