garthicus (559), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 7, 2008 Shared with HogTownHarry, Harrys bottle! Thanks Harry! Pours a muddy brown, tan colour with zero head. Aroma: Raisens and port, nuts and malt. Flavour: Mild alcohol flavour, some slight bitterness there too, a hint of toffee and spice, nutmeg. Short finish. Not a bad brew at all (my face is flushing due to it though!) Thanks Harry!
CelticBrew (512), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Oct 11, 2008 Pours a hazy, dank brown, forming huge off white foamy head. Aroma of cloves, banana, malts, hops and nutmeg. Flavour much of the same, some hoppy bitterness and spice come through. A decent weizen bock beer, I like Brooklyner better, but I’d still gulp this one too. Magjayran (1157), Durham, North Carolina, USA Oct 8, 2008 Murky brown color with a huge tan head. Tons of boozy banana in the aroma. Very sweet. Banana and bubblegum with a bit of bread and alcohol at the finish. Sweet and enjoyable. A damn fine extremely sweet beverage. joeymacaroni (142), West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 4, 2008 pours murky mahogany brown with a thick sienna head. Aroma heavy with banana nut bread, bubblegum esters and citrus. Flavor is loads of spice, banana nut bread, light fruit, and citrus. Aftertaste of wheat, spice, fruit, a little alcohol warmth. oily and lightly carbonated. very drinkable! AndrewKScott (412), Lemont, Illinois, USA Sep 28, 2008 Pours a murky brown with lots of floaties and a thick, off white head. Banana and clove aroma, with a bit of earthiness. Flavor is spicey, clovey, and very delicious. Some caramel, and a nice -carbonated mouthfeel. Alcohol is very well-hidden. Great beer. 17thfloor (728), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 18, 2008 Pours a murky dull orange/brown with a lovely thick creamy beige head. Great weizenbock aroma, spicy, clove, sweet wheat and caramel, banana and some alcohol. A great beer! and in a six-pack and 9%! First taste is definitely a little bit hot, some sweet caramel, bitter alcohol, fermented banana, and light spices. Lighter more watery body than expected in a weizen, still has that fine sizzling carbonation though. So drinkable for 8.7%. Love it! why does it have to be a seasonal though!!!
