Pours a clear golden/amber with a thick off white head...great lacing and retention. Aroma has notes of grass and citrus...light maltiness. Flavor is piney and grassy...flowery and earthy/bitter...slightly medicinal. Mouthfeel is medium and a bit resinous with a dry bitter/medicinal piney finish.

Clear golden orange body moderate white head solid sheet like lacing. Nose shows off the blend of us and euro hops. Ultimately, a German pilsener hop profile wins out.. which ain’t a bad thing from Victory. Flavor shows similar notes... some pine and noble hops. Medium bodied. Appropriate carbonation. And a moderately bitter finish.

(1er mai 2013)

Last stop of Sat. night at the Old Toad They ran out of the Great Lakes stout so I chose this. Poured amber color with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus, pine, caramel, and toffee. Taste of citrus, light pine, some caramel, grapefruit, and some gritty yeast in the finish. I had it with ’Chips’, our usual snack there.

Draft at craft ale house. Pours hazy copper with a medium sized white head. The aroma has light floral notes, light grass. The taste is bitter, dry, and has a nice pilsner taste.

Capa (2031) - Manama, BAHRAIN - DEC 17, 2012
Clear copper with a large, off-white, head. Aroma is Earthy hops, grass, medium malt backbone. Medium bodied with a nice carbonation bite. Flavor is grassy, light herbal, hop resin, light caramel, and a decent toasted malt backdrop. Finish has a nice bitter bite. A full flavored, not overly sweet, rustic hop IPA. Very enjoyable.

Casked at barcade. Aroma of great pine hops. Pours light brown with a creamy blanket of head. Taste just like it smells. Great pine hop with a solid malt back. A little lame on finish but a great IPA.

Transfer from BA reveiw on 2-5-13- Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – Served an orange-amber colored brew with a tiny white head. The head fades fast to leave a nice level of lacing. Smell – The aroma is bready with notes of caramel mixed within. Along with these aromas is a nice blend of hops. The hop aromas are mainly of a floral nature but also contain some smells of a pine and herbal aromas as well. Taste – The taste begins with a smoother malty and lightly caramel sweetened taste with notes of a pine hop. The pine grows a bit stronger toward the middle of the taste with the sweeter and maltier flavors losing some of their ground. Lighter citrus hop and some herbal flavors join the profile more toward the end. All the flavors, when combined in the end, create a moderately bitter hop flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the light to medium side for a 7% abv IPA in terms of it creaminess and thickness with a carbonation level that is rather average. Pretty good for the style and it made for a rather fast drinking brew. Overall – While it is nothing that is out of the park it is a nice IPA and one to try if you can find it.

Pours clear copper with a white head that quickly dissipated. Aroma is caramel, citrus, floral and toast. Taste is sweety with a mild bitterness. Medium bodied with a somewhat sticky texture. Crisp and dry finish. Not a super hoppy IPA but well balanced in the English style.

Draft at Alla Spina. Poured a lightly cloudy amber with thin off-white head and lacing. Aroma of earthy hops, dirt, grapefruit, caramel, wood. Not overly hoppy for an IPA and more of the European hops come through.
