COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Luxuriously rich in character, this warming winter ale delivers over 10% alcohol in an oh-so-seductive manner. Deliciously fruity flavors lie under a bracing hop nose.

Pours a finger and half of head on clear dark amber body. The aroma is mild pine and grapefruit with some wet grain in the background. The taste is fruity mild sweetness, turning to pine bitterness and finishes with a flat sweetness. The texture is thicker. Tasty.

Bottle thanks to Casey, with Peter, Ben, and Travis. Bottled 1/11/05. Pours a clear golden with lots of maltiness in the nose. Also some breadiness and figs. Some raisins. Very smooth on the mouth. Clean finish. Really nice beer. Thanks so much Casey!

This was an extra from emacgee, thank you! Deep reddish golden. Generous head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is full and intense, fruity, peach, apricot, and lots of malt, honey. Taste is sweet, with a little bitterness in the finish. Smooth. Rich. Complex. I love this. Just what I hope a barley wine will be.

Fruity red berry, caramel, stewed grain and pine on nose. hazy dark ruby brown.Full bodied, gentle carbonation, pretty pithy bitterness, saponic on tip and edges of tongue. Some marmitey autolysis. Slightly plasticky in finish with lingering bitterness.

12oz bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a very slight haze under a light brown, very thin head. Big fruity nose with some sherry over malt. Very big, chewy malt on the palate that starts sweet with molasses, brown sugar, and bourbon joined by plum and fruit becoming bitter with big alcohol flavors on the finish. Full bodied with medium low carbonation.

This barleywine has a malty pine brown sugar with a touch of booze aroma. Roasted barley and subtle chocolate nuances are swamped by brown sugar caramel malt and spruce hoppiness. Long bittersweet finish with a warm alcohol finish. Not overwhelming. Abv is woven into this nicely.

2006 bottle shared courtesy of a good friend. Pours a murky copper brown with a ring of bubbly off-white head. Aroma is big on sweet malts, like a sherry or port wine almost. Taste follows, big and sweet, dark fruits, rich plums, caramel and toffee, intense but smooth. Pretty amazing, still decent carbonation, held up extremely well.
