Luxuriously rich in character, this warming winter ale delivers over 10% alcohol in an oh-so-seductive manner. Deliciously fruity flavors lie under a bracing hop nose.

Great finishing beer. Very rich and fruity in flavor compared to Rogue’s Old Crustacean. I live about 45 minutes from Victory’s brewpub, but oddly enough I’ve never been there. This beer makes me want to go and taste the draught version.

Served at 57deg from wine cellar. Pours a rich Amber and head dissipates quickly. Citrus and caramel with long finish. Malty sweetness taste and nose but not cloying. I really like this. 22oz bomber. Will buy more and drink over 3-4 years.

Rot box special, vintage 2014. Pours a murky Amber with a tan head. Bottle from shelf aroma, toffee, sticky butterscotch. Hops are pretty much gone. Some cardboard, sweet. Thick and sticky. High boost. Chugged the 650ml in under a minute. Ok.

Bottle from Summer Secret Santa a while back. Sticky dark golden pour with a decent head. Tons of pine sap, hoppy, caramel, dark dried fruits and some vanilla. Sticky texture. Good!

Bottle thanks to Bursprak. Pours hazy amber with a beige head. Aroma of caramel malts, hops, toffee, earthy notes and ripe fruits. The taste has pine, hops, caramel, bitter hops and pine notes. Pretty bitter barley wine but a nice one indeed.

Bottle thanks to Bursprak! Pours a hazy, reddish amber with a medium sized, long lasting, off white head. Aroma has intense hops and sweet malts, that together gives an intense berry-fruity sweetness, intense malty, spicy, piny hops, some caramel. Taste is sweet, toasty, malty, pretty fruity, and finishes off with a big, but balanced bitterness. Average carbonation, full body without being sticky. Nice and balanced for the style!

1PT 6FL OZ bottle. 2013 Vintage. Pours amber with a faint haze and an orange hued tan cap. On the nose, resinous hops, golden syrup, tropical fruit, and pecan pie filling. Sweet Jeebus this smells glorious. The taste is of course on the sweeter side with raisin, resinous hops, light molasses, and faint spice that leads into what I would describe as beefed up IPA territory. Lots of caramel malt, resinous hops, raisin, light citrus, and a good bitter finish. Barley wines when done correctly make me forget about every great beer I’ve had. Man, this is beautiful stuff. I’ve had nothing but top notch beers from this brewery. Thank you Victory.

Aromas of deep malts, peanut butter, caramel, nougat, nuttiness, oak, sugared plum and some malted barley. Pours a cloudy amber with a crimson tint and a thick tan lacing and tons of lace. Taste is moderately bitter upfront followed by a creamy mouthfeel. Notes of butterscotch, caramel, sugar cubes, liquid malt extract, some golden malts, melted butter, toffee and sugary, toasted tangerine. Finishes sweet with notes of caramel latte, apricots, hop oils, resin and subtle vanilla. Overall, a very unique take on a barley wine. Flavors almost seem a bit of a mess but it somehow ties together well.
