Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher. One of Michael Jackson’s 500 Classic Brews

12 oz bottle. Pours a pale yellow with a creamy head. Not a huge amount on the nose, but full of complex, fruity flavours with good Hoppy bitterness. Very nice lager

Pale yellow beer with a bitter fruit aroma. Taste is light and bitter with a touch of citrus coming through. Palate is slightly watery and it is slightly bland but it’s very drinkable.

Bottle @ BBB. Pours tiny hazy golden with a frothy white head that leaves some thick lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is subtle, tiny malty and floral with biscuits, dried flowers, hay, lemon peal and hints of sweet corn. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter and floral with biscuits, bread, hay, lemon zest and hints of soil and lemon balm. Mouthfeel is crisp, dry, astringent and light bodied. Finish is bitter, tiny malty and floral with bread, buttered biscuits, grass, lemon balm, soil and lemon zest. Tasty hoppy pilsener!

Standard medium bitter pilsner. Relatively low on both aromas and flavors and not perfectly crisp. Good but nowhere near its reputation.

Bottle, 2 months old. Pours a very clear straw with some life. Cereal grains and Euro hops on the nose. Taste is clean, crisp, bitter and dry. My first favorite Pils from way back and still a go-to summer beer for me.

Transfer from BA review on 10-6-12- Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Pours a golden colored brew with huge white head. The head has great retention, eventually fading to give a lighter level of lacing. Smell – The smell is a mix of a grainy and a light grapefruit citrus. Beyond that there is a small amount of a pine hop smell. Taste – The taste starts out of a malty grain flavor with some light sweetness. As the taste advances, some lemon and a grapefruit hop flavor come to the tongue. These two tastes (grapefruit and lemon) intensify as the taste moves on, although they never get too strong. In the end the hop, combined with the wheat and a newly arriving bitter earthy and grassy hop flavor, create a dry, bitter, wheat flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer was on light to medium side with a carbonation level that was on the average side. Both were quite nice as they suited the dry flavors and transitions well as well as made for a very drinkable brew. Overall – A nice refreshing, bitter beer.
