3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 raphael (623) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 16, 2011
Not a real pilsner guy, kind of a hop head but can appreciate other styles. This seems more like a wheat than a pils with the almond, wheat kernel, black pepper and lemon flavors. The aroma is similar with dried wheat, lemon peel and almond. Clear yellow with minimal white head. Fine carbonation and smooth flow.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JB84 (636) - Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 14, 2011
Pour golden yellow white head. Aroma slight skunk, grass, floral, pils malt. Taste skunky, grassy, bit past its prime still decent bitterness and solid taste. MF light body fizzy carb. Solid but past its prime bottle is old.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 EHouse (89) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 9, 2011
Pours a clear highlighter yellow with a very nice, billowing white head. Aroma is malty hop pellets. A crispy light body of pale malt and lots of hoppy pine. Tastes German, finishes American. The hops are definitely present and slightly intrusive to the subtlety of spot on malt flavor. A perfect beer to pair with spicy asian cuisine. I had it with Thai last night and it was mmm good!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ClubGonzo (1736) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 7, 2011
Bottle sample @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Hazy yellow body, small white head. Aroma is pale malts, tart fruity raspberry-like tones and some hints of heather honey. Very refreshing. Taste is grassy tones of heather and cereals. Very nice blend, crisp hop tones. A bit intense for a pilsner, but still very nice. Bitter, long-lasting finish. A smooth drinkin’ lager that well deserves to be on top of its game.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Palme (1200) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 7, 2011
Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011: Pours a semi clear pale yellow body with lots of small floaters and a near non existing off-white head. Aroma has a really fresh swing to it with lots of citrus, some raspberries, champagne-yeastiness and some nice malts. Near no carbonation and it has a light and somewhat watery texture. Champagne and peach are the first two flavors that comes to mind. It continues with a light herbal twist and a nice hopy and semi-dry finish. A good pilsner, and I get a feeling this rating could have been much better if I got this served as a pint and not only a sample.
