2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Light golden in color below frothy suspended foam. Grassy aromatic hops in the nose with clean yeast and light malt elements, providing a seemlingly honeyed haystack and raw grain aroma. Maybe the label and other userís comments fooled me, but I was expecting a powerful amount of hops in this brew, and while the hops were fairly forceful, they werenít very flavorful or aromatic but more just extremely bitter. The malt seemed to be a bit overly sweet and thin and more importantly, just very boring.

Bottle. Pours, well, like a pilsener. Clear and yellow. Big fluffy head. Aroma was dry and hoppy. Let it sit and honey starts to appear. Itís dry, not too bitter, and mildly hoppy. After a bit, thereís a hint of some sweet malts and caramel. Iím not a big pilsener fan, but this is pretty good.

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2006 Slightly over-bitter and spicy. This is a good pilsner but is not what it looks to be. Donít judge it by its reputation try it for yourself. Be honest!

very good example of one of my favorite styles, perhaps high expectations hurt this one, it was good not great and I never really found the abundant hops that I was expecting, good pilsner though

[bottled] Nice appearance, a bit unclear, with a nice full head. Aroma of a weak IPA. Soft but very refreshing. Sweet flavor with a hint of elder flower. Well balanced bitterness.

A hazy orange beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma has notes of straw and hops. The flavor is sweet and again with notes of straw and hops. Good for a pilsener.

Iím not normally into pilsners, but I must say that Victory Prima Pils is one that I would select again. A top-notch pils, better (and fresher) than many Europeans.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours golden and clear with a quickly diminishing head. Floral and fruity scent. Perfect balance of malt and hops for a pilsner. Nice and crisp with a pleasant bitter taste that runs through til the finish. Slightly malty flavor also appears on the finish. Great palate--totally refreshing pilsner.
