solid german hop aroma coupled with a crisp yet soft malt aroma. Brilliant golden color. Some bitterness but not overpowering the malt flavors that take the forefront as the beer finishes.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Well, its official this beer definitely smells like a pilsner. It pours golden with a decent head. Upon first taste, the bitterness gives you alittle pop in the mouth, but then the European malts and German hops come out more and more with every drink. Victory has become my favorite brewery and this beer holds true to its solid reputation. If your sick of the Canadian pilsners at Wegmans grab a 6er of Prima Pils and do you mouth a favor.

Great pils. Nice golden color, with hoppy aroma. Initial taste is slightly skunked, but that fades into a crisp taste of malt and hops.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
WOW WOW WOW.... When every brewery is creating the over-the top-hop/alcohol-monster-uber-bohemian pilsner which has recently become en vogue, Victory is churning out an exceptionally well balanced retort. Pours crystal clear straw and absolutely stinks of noble hops (stinks is a good thing here). A nice bitterness whcih paired with the efervescent qualities of the beer becomes almost caustic but is quickely chased away by the floral and spicier notes of the hops. However, the malt is enough to keep ones feet firmly grounded. Full but CRISP on the palate (Something that should be pointed out is frequently lost on the bigger takes on this style). All in all a fantastic effort.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
One of the palest beers I’ve ever seen. Unique in this way. Nice clean white head. It has a hoppy and sweet aroma along with a nice pilsner hop aroma. The flavor is that of a classic pilsner. It really fits the style. Light malt flavors, at times a bit of sweetness, but really nicely bitter and malty. Thanks to DocLock

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
(sample @ brewery) a very pale yellow/gold with a pretty white head. nose is all hops-saaz it would seem. flavor is equally hoppy, with just enough pilsner malt flavor to give it some balance. finished crisp and dry with a very light body that makes it easy to drink. excellent beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle: Pours with a medium/large frothy white head and a pale golden yellow. Aroma is light malts and hops. The hops continue into the taste, where they nicely balance out the malt qualities. This is the most amount of hops I’ve tasted in a Pilsner and I really like it. Victory has managed to up the hoppiness, but not take away from any of the more subtle malt qualities of their pilsner. Very refreshing, very crisp, slightly bitter. Excellent lager.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Golden Coloring. Good Head. Hops all around. Bitterness. May want to try again for re-rating...but for a Pils, very good.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 13, 2007 Hops and pale malt balance well in the aroma. The palate favors hops over malt, and the finish is quite dry. Prima Pils still tops my personal pilsner list, closely followed by Tuppers Hop Pocket Pils (USA) and Urquell (Czech Republic).
