3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Emptied the bottle and it forms a white fluffy head with a luscious amber body. Slight hoppiness in the aroma and perhaps a hint of citrus. The aroma seems to remind me, for a second only, of Pilsner Urquell. The taste is very pleasant and much more smooth than than the afore mentioned beer. Definite sweetness on the tongue. The hops are present but not overwhelming and this is good for this type of beer. This is a great "refreshing" beer. I will plan on drinking this along with wheats this summer. Finishes very smooth as well with a lemony taste lingering but it is not annoying.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2004 2/14/04. Poured out of 12 oz. bottle, obtained in a trade with Secret Santa on RateBeer 12/17/03. Pours a lightly hazy pale golden, very sleek-looking. Lots of tiny, pulpy-looking particles floating inside. Billowy, white, rocky head dissipates to a thin and uneven whisp with spotty and very fast, but surprisingly resilient lacing. Aroma is of bright but only subtly sweet fresh honey, pale malt, and faint, clean hops. Very nice pilsner I can tell. Flavor is immediately plant-like but not necessarily hoppy. Grassy, I suppose, but it's more like a green-leaf herb or vegetable, maybe spinach. Probably a bit too strongly vegetabley. Bold, medium-full mouthfeel with very dry, leafy finish. Very drinkable, despite its vegetablish persuasions, and it's quite lovely but a little odd for my palate. Almost like drinking something from a juicer. Nice background appearance from the malts that are in there, but they could use a little stronger appearance to push this one over the top. They really come out in the long, elegant and delicate finish (definitely leaving you wanting more), but as soon as you taste more, it's a little jarring to experience again the vegetable assault, and you almost begin to question why exactly you wanted more to begin with. Still quite a good beer, just a little bit odd. 7/4/7/4/16/3.8
5/3/03. On tap at Hopleaf in Chicago, IL 5/3/03. ORIGINAL RATING. Very good pilsner. Elegant is right. Thick, creamy head leads to a dusty-colored golden body. Nicely malty and hoppy flavor with a long, bitter finish. Very well-balanced. 8/4/7/4/15/3.8

A great pilsner from Victory Brewing here, gang. Nice and fresh, with that really nice fresh maltiness to it, with a nice hops blast
at the end. Highly recommended.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice golden hue. A bit cloudy. Fluffy head could form more easily, nice staying power. Aroma is pleasantly grainy, lemon. Hops add floral, slighty spicy smell. The flavor is more of the clean crisp dry malt. Hops come through on short dry, bitter finish.

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2007 Very clear golden beer with a floral nose. This is shockingly great flowery, hoppy wonderful light lager; for all the "yellow beer haters" ... this beer is as big and flavorful as all the American IPAs, but comes in the guise of a pilsner. Drink it. Love it. Touchdown!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Like Mrs. Dash, this one hits the palate with a bit of lemon and spice. A clean, refreshing yet dry pilsener. Not my favorite style by any means, but I can understand why Prima is highly regarded.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
This beer stretches the limits of a pilsner a bit, but it is so damn good I don't mind. A nice citrus aroma and flavor followed by a sweet snap of hops. Sweet, but not so that it sticks to the mouth. Overall refreshing, tasty and quite impressive. My hats of, once again, to Victory. Peace.
