COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher. One of Michael Jackson’s 500 Classic Brews

I am not a huge fan of pilsners, let alone American brews. However, this is hands down the best pilsners I’ve ever tried, and now one of my new favorite beers.

Re-rate: Still a good beer, but not quite deserving of the 4.1 I gave it before. 10/31/02: Best pilsner I’ve ever had. At first I thought it was not even really a pilsner. However, the qualities of a pils come through, despite the immense amount of hops. The hoppiest, tastiest example of a pils ever. Well done.

Head to head with 3 Floyds Burnham Pilsner. Cloudy lemon, huge frothy head. Tangy hoppy mouth feel. . .bitter finish. . .lingering citrus notes complete a pretty good beer.

Pretty good, although it seems a little bitter for the pilsener style. An IPL, perhaps (India Pale Lager)? Warm, malty nose followed by heaps of hops. Just seems like they’re trying to fit too much in here. I’d rather have a Czechvar for pure refreshment.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2003 They really hit you over the head with the hops on this one, and it feels good. Piny, bark like flavor. Great bitter effervencent finish. One of my favorite pilseners.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2003 Rerate: Sticky, lasting head that coated the side of the glass. Earthy and lasting hop profile, fairly light though. I can see this as a great compliment to pasta salad. I appreciate this much more than the first tasting!

Assuredly the best Pilsner that I have yet tried. A hazy yellow color with a tremendous head that slowly dissapates into a smooth layer that teaves a nice lace as you drink. Aroma is hops, and a sour grass herbal feel. Flavor is the same with just the slighgtest presance of malt. A wonderful beer, and I’ll be looking for more of the Victory lineup in the future.

Okay, this beer poured a dark yellow color and formed a white bubbley head that left some nice lace. The aroma, well, let’s just say the hops exploded in my olfactory area. There was also some grassy, earthy elements. The flavor, once again, was most definately hops. Also present was malt and citrus. The finish was fairly dry. One of the best pils I have had, but I admit to not being a big fan of the style.

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2010 poured almost clear with a yellow stain..The head started over 2″ thick but settled completely lopsided and evil..
the aroma was filled with straw, grass, soil, wheat, bananas...
Flavor was wheaty with banana flickerings..spicy..almost like a hidden hefeweizen..

re-rate. I like this much better than the 3.6 I originally gave it. Boost this mutha
