very nicely made, does nothing wrong. very nicely structured on the palate. gives you heaps of hop flavour first up - herbs + pine (hallertau & Northern brewer?) - then grainy, honeyish malt sweetness, then long, late accelerating bitterness, leaving a grassy hop tingle behind. a bit more malt presence wouldn't go astray but this is a very classy beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: OCT 24, 2005 Clear straw yellow color with big pure white head. Aroma was faint, touches of honey and spicey hops, a touch of sweetness. Flavor is somewhat bland, with a bit of malt noted upfront, and a spicey hop character, slightly sweet finish.

Volgon is telling me that i would like this a lot more if it was a burningly hot day. it's not a burningly hot day. it's a stunningly cold day. i even saw some snow falling. it had the appearance of fresh Bud. the aroma was a little different, but i didn't much care for it. it had a wincing flavor with a mild and somewhat ok aftertaste. There's a crappy chain of supermarkets around here called Victory. i bet there's a connection.

(Bottle) Thin, quick-dissipating, white head and golden body. Flavour is slightly lemon. Good hop showing. Nice citrus finish.

Uninspired…Sketchy aroma, light yellow coloring with a nice head. Overly bitter and slightly off balance. Not bad, but I expected better.

Golden colour with nice frothy head. Dry malt aroma with some german hops. Dry bitterness coming from Saaz hops (?)which lingers pleasantly. A classic pils.

Pilseners. Not my favorite style, but this one was good. Victory just takes a style of beer and runs away with it. I love these guys. Great reproduction of a pils. Slight lingering pils bitterness was nice. Pils!

I was disappointed in this beer. I was looking for more noble hop flavor and aroma. It had a grapefruit aroma and flavor that reminded me more of cascade and chinook hops. I was expecting a crsip german or czech style hop in this beer. To be fair this beer was getting towads the end of it's date code. I will have to try another one that is fresh and not as old.

Clear golden color with a brilliantly white head. Aroma of bread and hops. Smooth and dry on the palate with a gentle carbonation. A nice balance of malt and hop flavors. Good stuff!

Quality Pilsener. Pale, pale gold in colour. Probably the most hoppy pilsener that i've had, really bitter aswell, grassy/haylike aromas, slightly honeyed. Pretty soft mouthfeel at the start, but the bitterness hads some sharpness and length to the flavour. Which is a good thing, coz its a tasty brew. Liked it very much.
