I call this beer "the converter" For the masses of uneducated beer drinkers who plug away every saturday drinking bud, coors and miller lite, I hand them one of these and watch. Within seconds they realize this full bodied beer is now their new favorite beer. Floral flavors and crisp hops are this beers trademark flavors.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2010 12oz bottle from LCBO. As a general rule I hate pilsners, but this one is exceptional. Tastes more like an IPA but with massive hop bite. Very pleasantly bitter, and like the description says it has a dry finish. Probably my favorite pilsner ever.

UPDATED: JUN 21, 2010 Not really a fan of Prima. It’s very dry and grassy. I’ve noticed that their beers are often grassy.
Edited a few months later: They must have had a problem with grass flavors from their hops or something because I don’t get any grass at all anymore. This is an absolutely fantastic German Pils.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 dbarnold (578) - Bethesda, Maryland, USA - FEB 8, 2010
I’m a fan of traditional pilsners and this is a really good one. A little hops and a really light clean flavor and finish. Good example of a Pilsner without being too bitter.

12 oz bottle (2010) into a pint glass. The malt is subtle and the hops are there, but overall it’s a bit minerally and too dry.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 GranvilleTim (955) - Granville, Illinois, USA - FEB 7, 2010
Clear yellow pour with a white head. Aroma of hops, malt, light fruit and spices. Taste is malt, little sweet, nice spicy hop aftertaste. Crisp, tasty beer. Nice lacing.
3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 mjmcend (209) - USA - FEB 7, 2010
An excellent pilsner. Aroma is clean and crisp. Taste follows with a hint of fruit. A favorite in s style that is decidedly not.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Narnad (1136) - Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA - FEB 3, 2010
Pours a pretty hazy bright yellow color with a tall, frothy white head that fades to a good sized topper for the brew. Aroma has a strong lemon nose, mildly spicy with a sharp citrus note. This citrus note is so strong that when a deep breath is inhaled and strikes the tongue provides a lemon flavor just from the aroma. Flavor has a mild lemon fruity note early that fades to a light citrus acidic presence, a light spicy hops note comes out in the middle and finishes with a very light grainy pils note. Body is light but very lively from the high carbonation. Overall a fantastic brew with a great nose and mild flavor, making it a terrific brew almost any time.
