3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 finol (1217) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 9, 2011
Draught at the Ginger Man NYC.
Very drinkable and simple pilsner, bit to clean for a top rateing from me.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Maris (466) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - NOV 5, 2011
From a 355ml bottle on 5/11/2011. Pours a clear pale golden colour with a fine medium head. Has a mild bready, citrus aroma with faint floral notes. Has a nice base of bready malt, some nice citrus fruit sweetness, and a pronounced hoppy finish. A very nice, high quality pils.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 dzimm27 (64) - - NOV 3, 2011
Pale golden color and fresh almost lemony aroma that is very smooth. Taste comes across as if it would be very smooth and I am giving it the benefit of the doubt here as my bottle is a little skunky. I unfortunately found after I opened it that the sell by date was 2 months prior to purchase. Not to waste good beer, I soldiered on. I can see if the taste were presented cleanly it would be complex and be an overall very refreshing beer. I think I might need to get this one again in a non-outdated variety.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 greglikesbeer (23) - Ancaster, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 2, 2011
Pours golden and cloudy with a thick off-white head. Aroma is crisp, citrusy and floral. Sweet citrus flavors followed by lingering bitterness. Excellent pilsner!
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 boxofrane (203) - pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 2, 2011
Bottle. Pours golden with a whitish head.. some carbonation. Smells light.. some slight earthy scents in there. Tastes full bodied for a pilsner; however, goes down extremely smoothly. A definite beer that you can drink anytime of the year.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 BenH (528) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 30, 2011
From bottle. Pours light yellow, very thin white head. I was ready to write this off, but pleasantly surprised. Deep aroma of, light citrus lemon hops with a slight spiciness, yeast and malt. Taste is similar, well balanced, yeast and hops complent eachother well. Best lager I’ve had
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mkel07 (1556) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - OCT 27, 2011
355ml bottle. Hazy straw colour with a collar of white foam. The aroma is quite strong given that this is a pilsener, sweet also. There is that familiar metallic pilsener taste in the mouth, although it is refreshing and has good drinkabilty. Goes down easy and a good session beer.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 pilgrimoutlaw (273) - Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 26, 2011
Bottle pours clear pale yellow with white head. Aroma is floral with a hint of bubblegum. Surprising hop bitterness for a pils. Crisp and dry. Much better than I expected.
