Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher. One of Michael Jackson’s 500 Classic Brews

Had on tap at Barley Johns. A really nice looking pilsner in the glass with great clarity and thick head. Big hop aromas and flavors make this one of my favorite pilsners.

Poured golden and clear with a nice head. Aroma is nutty and citrusy. Spicey hops dominate the clean malty flavor with a pleasantly bitter aftertaste. Pilsner is not one of my favorite styles but I rather enjoyed this one. Go Pens!

Probably my go to pilsner. Bottle. Gold. Lemon, grains, toast, a touch of honey. Extremely drinkable, light, medium carb - (done from memory because the rate I posted last night didn’t save for some reason)

12oz bottle poured into a pilsener glass. While the head is abundant, a bready, biscuity, toast aroma emanates. The toast aroma lingers as a very light caramel and citrus poke through. A noticeable pineapple / tropical fruit note comes through after awhile with a touch of pepper. The beer is a beautiful, clear, effervescent, sparkling straw gold color with a white, gelatin-like head consisting of small and micro bubbles. The head retains well with a nice puffy, creamy coverage atop the beer, and it leaves an ample, messy webbing lace. It’s a prominently bitter beer, medium / medium-high levels, with a light sweetness to support it. The medium-full body has an active, yet soft carbonation in above-average quantity. It’s a light, grainy texture that dry, crisp, and refreshing. The mouthfeel is primarily toasty and peppery which carries to the finish. The aftertaste is grain husk with a strong, bitter grapefruit membrane. After awhile a burnt toast and pineapple show up in the lingering aftertaste.

Picked this up as part of a build your own 6 pack. Been looking to try this brewer after reading an article about how they work with veterans. High hopes, but slightly disappointed. A hoppy pilsner just does not work for me.
