UPDATED: APR 25, 2012 Update: had on tap at victory brewing and I can say is wow. Fresh prima pils is the best beer i have ever had.
a: nice straw yellow color, foamy head
s: hoppy with floral notes
t: clean with floral notes and grain. The hops do not over power the beer but provide a nice bitterness.
m&d: medium body, with decent carbonation. Very refressing beer and extremely drinkable

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. For a filtered beer this certainly has an unfiltered pale yellow color to it with a white fizzy head that fades fast. The aroma is grainy and bready malts, citrus, and clean hop note. The body is in the medium range with a decent smooth texture. The taste has an upfront grainy, husky flavor with a lingering citrusy bitterness at the finish.

Pint at Alehouse in SAMO. Incredibly crisp, clean, and grassy. Floral notes. Light, golden color. Next to no head. Yeasty aftertaste, in a pleasant way. One of my favorite Pils.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Call it a pilsener if you like, but this is far more a pale ale bordering on an IPA. It’s totally overrun with hops right out of the bottle with oranges and spruce trees dominating the nose. If there are malts anywhere in this concoction, they fail miserably at fending off waves of bitter dryness. It’s a nice little beverage, but doesn’t strike these tastebuds as a pilsener.

Draft at the Monkey Paw. Golden pour. White head. Dank musty flavor. Apricot and raisin notes. Not my favorite but also don't go for pilsners too often

Draft. Pours bright clear copper gold with a thin white head. Tastes malty and musky, like grains, slightly nutty, and light citrus. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like grains and malt.

Tap at little havana. Pours extremely clear gold with fizzy white head. Aroma is biscuit and cereal malts, light floral notes, lemon zest, and light oranges. Flavor is dry malt base, light citrus esters, and subtle hop bitterness; dry finish. Light/medium body and low carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pretty solid beer, pours a nice golden color with a white head that remains and provides a bit of lacing. Smells is a bit floral with a small amount of malt. Taste begins a bit sweet and follows with floral hops with a bit a a bitter finish. Very refreshing

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
The aroma is flowery balanced with Pils malt graininess. A foamy white head rests atop a clear light-golden pour. Moderate lacing. The taste is floral up front giving way to a nice grainy finish with a pleasing bitter aftertaste. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. Crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very well crafted Pilsner. Tasty, easy to drink, and very refreshing.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: nice golden sunshine body with a moderate chill-haze throughout; foamy, bone-white head tops things off, leaving a nice, dense sheet of lace as it recedes. Aroma is quite hoppy, even more so than you’d expect from a pilsener. grass, dirt, earth, flowers, some herbs, a touch of dankness, & a decent mount of lemon & citrus zest. Slight must in the finish with a light spicy, pepper-like edge... probably from the Saaz. I wouldn’t expect this much fruit from Saaz & Northern Brewer, but it’s there. Taste has heavy hops up front grass, flowers, light white pepper, grapefruit peels, orange zest, & a slight bite of pine & must in the finish. Nice breaded, cracker-y malt backbone, but it’s mostly covered by the hop assault. Nice beer, overall, though not exactly what I expect from a pilsener.
