COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher.

Light golden color, huge bubbles, generous fast-dying head. Big, big nose: apricots, 7-up (lemon/lime), slight date/caramel maltiness. Great dry/bitter flavor -- at the opposite end of the spectrum from Lakefront’s Klisch Pilsener, my other favorite American Pils; this is like the driest of champagne, with dominant grapefruit and orange flavors, giant hop bitterness, but a decent body and woody maltiness to balance. Long tough finish. Absolutely great pils, refreshing but not something you can toss back brainlessly. Starting to get the picture on this brewery...

Draft at Gordon Ramsay’s at the London, New York. Great that even two star restaurants have craft beers nowadays. Full malty flavour, hoppy aroma, dry crisp finish. An ideal food companion.

Aroma is sweet bready malt and hop aroma hiding underneath. Is light gold in color. Nice malty flavor is what dominates, but some definite strong hoppiness comes through and leaves a dry mouthfeel. A

Tasted at Stone Brewery. Clear yellow with frothy white head. Hoppy floral aroma and crisp clean finish. A good hot weather beer.

12-oz. One of the classics of the American craft brewing revolutions, I know. But it’s really just ok. Pours crystal clear medium gold with a fluffy, spritzy platinum blonde head. Settles quickly to just a smear. Plenty of attractive rising carb. Big skunky nose. Probably not their fault, but there’s very little left here in the way of hop aroma. Medium/light watery body, lots of artichokes and skunk on the mid-palate. There’s a little bit of hay and biscuit in there as well to show it’s not completely broken, but this beer is really not ready for prime time.

Bottle. I’m not a Pilsener fan but I trust Victory to surprise me. Pours a clear bubbly gold with an average size lasting white head. Very nice looking. I’m not loving the aroma, there’s something about it that I don’t care for very much. The flavour is that of a Pilsener but you can actually taste hops and it’s quite tasty. This is probably hoppier than a Pilsener should be but I’m not complaining, it’s an improvement. Kudos to Victory for making a Pilsener that I really like, it’s probably the best one I’ve had -- now if they could do something about that aroma.

Hazy orange-gold, towering white head. Very hoppy aroma, floral and resinous, beautiful! Generous quantities of malt and hops fill the palate. A very well-crafted pilsener, and absolutely delicious!

On tap at the Peekskill Brewery. Pours a clear yellow with a medium white head. Citrus, sweetness, and some grain on the notes. Thin to medium bodied, with more citrus coming through. Finishes light and grainy, with a light bitterness.
