Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher. One of Michael Jackson’s 500 Classic Brews

UPDATED: JUL 27, 2003 is it a pilsener? it's so delicoius with no annoying nose or corny taste. actually, has a surpising sweet malt taste, unlike most even czech pilseners. a pleasure the whole way through. note: a good one to wean stubborn americans onto something great.

This is my favorite Pilsner/regular lager I’ve had. Light gold with a well retained, small white head. Aroma is full of wonderful hops, germanic in character with perhaps a little citrus in there. Taste is wonderful and balanced with complex, soft and bready malts, rich without being too sweet, classic pilsner style hopping with tones of herbs and subtle citrus. Definitely an american take on Pilsner. On the light side of medium bodied, and very smooth with a crisp finish. I’d agree with the commercial deScription that there’s something elegant about this beer. It’s also my new "most refreshing" beer, just edging out Fuller’s London Pride, and will be bought again for post-lawn work relaxation on beautiful summer nights.

Frothy white head on a clean pale yellow body. Crisp and a bit of grassy acidity from the hops. A good summer beer.

Pours a pleasant golden yellow with a nice think white head. Aroma is bright and hoppy, notes of grass, and pine. A slight note bready malts lingers through. light sweetness, and quite hoppy. The hop flavor balance is good, but it is fairly bitter for the style. slightly sour with a long lingering aftertaste. The beer has a slick feel to it that sticks to the back of your throat. While pils are not my favorite style I guess I missed the boat on this particular one. I’ve had many other pils that I enjoy more then this one the long bitter aftertaste and mouthfeel just aren’t for me

Pours clear and golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma of bready pale malts and floral grassy hops. Tastes clean, sooth, mildly sweet taste of pale malt and well balanced floral hops. Clean, dry finish. Not overly bitter, very well done pils! I could drink a lot of this. A great sessionable beer.

pours a off gold with a cloudy texture.. smells of grass and hops. at first there as a sweet malty taste followed by a decent hop profile which doesn’t overpower. refreshing, liberating.

Out of a 12 0z ice cold bottle poured a golden brew with a nice white head. The aroma was of an abundant amout of noble hops with an underlying sweet maltiness. It was smooth on entry with a crisp bite of hoppiness.A very nice pilsener indeed.

OK-I really love Pils and this american version makes me proud to be from the US (but of German ancestry). Has a nice proteiny head that laces the glass, good floral hop aroma. Bigger than usual hop bitterness- bridges the gap between continental pils and big hoppy American beers. Easy drinking, good clean flavor, very nicely brewed, I could have a keg of this on tap at all times. Few if any other US breweries can make a pils like this. Gets a solid 4.
