Draft pint at The Lackman. It’s about time I finally got around to trying Prima Pils, the legendary pilsner. Pours a clear gold color with finger-thick white head. Good-looking, if not out of the ordinary for a pils. Aroma of pilsner malts, grassy and floral hops, a little lemon and orange citrus, and straw. The flavor follows suit closely; nothing complicated, but very nice. Light-bodied, with crisp carbonation and a usual pils mouthfeel. Good pils.

Tap at Flying Saucer, Houston. Pours a pure gold with a faint sour aroma. Flavor is crisp, light hops with a nice sweetness in the finish that balances everything. Palate suffices. Oh yeah... KEVIN WAS THERE. EASTSIDE, BITCHES!

Bottle. Poured a slightly hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma was full of grains with subtle citrus hops. Flavor was very clean and crisp with a touch of malts and hops. Very easy driking

Hoppy, and some sweet malt aroma, golden, with a very foamy head. Great hoppy taste, good balance of malts. Fine bitterness, in a fine beer, I was surprised to have so hoppy a Pilsner. Thanks Radek.

355 ml bottle. From Germany (bierzwerg.de).
Hazy pale yellow/golden colour with small white head.
Strong floral hoppy aroma. Floral grassy bitter hoppy flavour.
Long bitter hoppy aftertaste. Good hoppy Pilsener.

Bottle, ridiculously cheap from Rhythm & Booze, Barton upon Humber. Faintly hazy gold thin but lasting white head and gentle condition. Excellent flowery hop resin and sweet honey notes in the mose with a touch if yeastiness, pleasant restrained hop bitterness in the mouth with a biscuity malt note and gentle chalkiness, lingering fruity finish with underlying chalky hop bitterness.
4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 Aubrey (3125) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - JUL 18, 2001
UPDATED: JUN 22, 2005 Bright and heady. Citrusy, floral, and piney nose lofts into the air. Soft, smooth, and clean. Sharp, snappy and refreshing. Bold version of a pilsner, and I really like the interpretation. Tremendously aromatic with a healthy bitterness. Well made and unbelievably tasty beer. Every time I get the chance to drink this I like it even better.

Bottle @ home. Prima Pils pours a hazy, banana yellow appearance with a good sized, white head. Husky/grainy, grassy hoppy, straw, herbal aroma. Strong straw/hay, grainy pale malty, grassy, lightly floral flavor. Definitely a solid Pilsener.
