COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher.

A nice bright golden color, that pours with a nice white head that disappears quickly. Has a nice appealing floral bouquet. The first taste is one of a soft malty flavor, which then finishes with a nice sharp hop bitterness that marries well with a bit of hop flavor. This is a great example of a Pils, which I wish I could get on a regular basis.

Hazy, lemony (I've used lemony in like 3 ratings tonight, but that's what it looks like) colored, OK label, beady white head which fades to poofy meringue. Smells like what I wanted all those Eastern European lagers to smell like: sweaty women, citrus, pine and malt. Nicely hoppy, sprucey. Perhaps a bit too thin, perhaps a bit too fizzy. Very refreshing.

After the overwhelming sweetness of a DD Stille Nacht, this overwhelmingly dry pils balances out well. Tastes like a tough piece of bread. An enjoyable pils to be sure, and a perfect representation of the style.

Calling this a great pilsener is like saying how great Kentucky is because Cincinnati is such a nice city--it has appeal because it crosses over to different territory. Full marks for appearance--have I ever said that for a pilsener?--nice cascade, hazy off-yellow, and wonderful mass of whipped egg-white-like head. The aroma and flavor emit masses of quality hops, giving a floral but at times Juicy Fruit-brand chewing gum flavor. Here is where my mind was thinking "IPA"? "American pale ale?" So distinctively hoppy, it was enjoyable except for, to me, an overly sharp bitterness hanging on. I'm not a hopaholic, so this didn't strike my fancy as much. Sort of like being in Cincinnati (when I'd rather be in Kentucky, or better yet, New York). Still, very enjoyable, very drinkable, very interesting.

Bottle. Strong, grassy, floral hops in the nose. Clear yellow pour with light carb and a fluffy white head. Tasty bitterness balanced with peripheral sweetness. Powerful taste just grabs you and refuses to let go…. Smooth mf, soft water, and a light bit along with the light body. On the whole, high praise for this beer, probably the closest to a German Pils I’ve had in the States, a lovely offering, though I’ll wait a bit longer before crowning it the best in the country.

From draught. Small head that dissipated but left some lacing. Weak hop aroma. Nice golden color and smooth palate. Slightly sweet and nicely hopped. Slightly bitter/hoppy finish. Crisp and refreshing.

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy yellow color; fluffy white head with solid lacing. Lively citrus and herbal / grassy hops in the aroma; not an overwhelming hop bomb, but crisp and lightly-sugared with the slightest hint of resin. Medium mouthfeel: some chewy citrus at the forefront (resiny, lightly acidic), with lively carbonation and a creamy dough character underneath; a beautiful palate (striking a delicate balance between hop zing and malt density and drinkability) that smooths out into a soft, doughy and yeasty finish. An excellent pils. Clean, well-built, and immensely drinkable.

Hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is Light sweet, malty and rather hoppy - grass. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. Excellent for a pilsener. 260511
