Almost clear, pale yellow with a white head. Aroma light to moderate malty (caramel), medium hoppy (floral). Flavor llight sweet, moderate bitter, clean and long lasting. Light to medium body. Very nice.

Clear yellow of color with a nice white head. An aroma of hops, grass and sweet malt. A flavor with sweet hints, hops, grass and a bitter finish.

Like Mrs. Dash, this one hits the palate with a bit of lemon and spice. A clean, refreshing yet dry pilsener. Not my favorite style by any means, but I can understand why Prima is highly regarded.

Bottle, # 800 for me - seems to be a decent enough beer to celebrate the occasion! Light yellow pour, small white head. Strong pils hops in aroma - probably more so than usual. Medium frothy active mouthfeel. Taste - wow, what a flavourful pils. Tons of hops true to their style roots, lots of light malt taste even though it looks really thin, this is an excellent refreshing tasty pils! Long lingering dry bitter finish. Well done Victory, not my favourite style but one I would reach for again any time of the year.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2008 I usually avoid Pilsners, but a recent review of this brew in Draft Magazine had gotten me interested and I’m glad I picked up a bottle... Poured a straw, yellow tone with a thin white head. Fruity hops and esters on the nose. Dry and foamy palate and flavors of bread-like hops and malt with a nice crispness and balance. Other fruity flavors like apples and oranges. Victory really made a great Pilsener here.

Thanks adamharnaugh for this 12ozer. Pours clear yellow with a pillowy white head. Nose is creamed corn, pale malt, hay, grass, and hops. Flavor is bittering pine hops intermingle with hay, grass, malt, and a corn/ fruit sweetness that quickly retreats from the truckload of hops. Well-made, thirst quenching, and medium-bodied (for a pils). Refreshing.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Volgon (2698) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 16, 2001
UPDATED: OCT 4, 2008 Bottle: Clear golden with a thin white head, starts and ends lightly bitter, hay and grassy hops in the aroma, thick body for the style. Leave it to Victory to make a pilsener that doesn’t suck.

I was prepared for disappointment. I have consistently rated Victory products well below other raters here. I was quite pleasantly surprised. Perfect pils appearance, a restrained aroma of wheat bread, dough, and hops. The taste is fantastic. I was prepared to be bowled over by a hop assault, but this is a balanced beer. Solid malt backbone with fresh Saaz leading the charge, with a fantastic hop aftertaste. Very, very well done. Its hard to hide mistakes in a pilsner, and they have nothing to hide here. An impressive beer.
