12 oz bottle courtesy of alagnak. Enjoy by Mar 28 09 stamped on the label. Pour is hazed yellow golden with a one inch pure white head. Nice splotchy lacing. Aroma of grassy hops, earth malt behind that, some light clove yeastiness. Nice nose. Taste is the ester clove hop grass and teastiness. Nice full earthy resin malt backbone. Palate is medium thin, prickly carbonation, really drinkable. (8,4,7,4,15 - 3.8)

Bottle. Pour is golden, with a nice white head that settles quickly. Aroma is hops, though somewhat faint. Taste, is crisp, clean and bright hops. Very, very refreshing brew. I wish it was summer! My favorite Pilsener right now.. (6,4,8,4,15 - 3.7)

12 oz bottle. Enjoy by Nov 04 05, hmmm... Shoots up a big head. Leaves a chunk of white cotton candy atop a clear straw-colored liquid. Smell is grass, wheat and lemon. Starts almost tasteless, like a mineral water, then peppery with mild grapefruit and quinine. Very smooth medium light body; a little oily. Just the right amount of tiny bubbles to keep it refreshing. Clean finish with just a bit of back-tongue hops. Where did it all go?

On tap at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 3rd July 09. Bright gold. Strong pilsner aroma. Decent enough flavour but a bit harsh.

12oz bottle. Hazy and golden with a kind of dull appearance. Strong malt nose with a good dose of grassy hops. Crisp and dry. Citrus hoppy with a sweet malt character.

Bottled. Hazy golden colour with dense and lacy white head. Sweet hop aroma. Moderate to strong hopy flavour with a good bitter kick to it. Bitterness attacks the palate but in a nice way.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2010 Rerate for 2010: This is back to form it seems. Strong grassy and floral hops in the nose and flavor but still a nice biscuity malt presence, not overly grassy or resiny or bitter.
As hoppy a pilsner as I’ve ever had. Aroma is curious and fun with spicy and grassy notes, with a tinge of orange rind. Flavor is dominated by hops (spicy, hints of resin begin to appear) with a strongly bitter finish. Malt is hard to detect. At this low gravity, this beer is almost as puckeringly bitter as some 100+ IBU hop monsters, and probably explains some of this beer’s appeal. To me, its unbalanced. Cutting the hops back even just a little bit would greatly improve its drinkability while retaining its bold character.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Indra (2323) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - OCT 25, 2002
Citric, fruity, lightly grassy aromas, along with some faint yeast, how unusual is yeast aroma in a pils... Appealing dynamic golden yellow color, some fine haze. Carbonation and head are most impressive and the lacing is also very nice. Flavor is nicely balanced between the light but bodifying German pilsner malts and the fresh-tasting, spicy hops. Finish is on the dry side, and the malt plays its part well here, too, adding a little light, bready sweetness to the drying effect of the hops. Yeah, this is just about the best Pils I ever had. Lots going on here for that style of beer. They may be German ingredients, but they’re in American quantities!

Mmmmm. Bitterness never tasted so good. Can’t tell about the head cuz mine basically exploded when I opened it, but the color, taste was great. Body is thinner then Lagunitas Pils.
