Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher.

Bottle. Blonde. Soft grassy citric aroma with spicy and mango notes. Firm grassy citric hopbitter flavor. Pineapple. Long oily hopbitter aftertaste. A nice spicy hoppiness in this excellent pilsener.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2008 Bottled: Golden coloured. Hazy. Off white head. Grainy and hayish aroma. Some hops and fruitnotes. Is medium hopped and crisp. Some fruitnotes. Ends on a light bitter and flowery note. This might be a really good beer when fresh, but this is a little too old. Thanks Springslicker for trading. Rerated at a blindtasting by Papsoe 19th. Bottled, 355ml from Bellingers Garage, Grove, Oxon. Yellow gold with white head. Very impressive Pilsener, there is a good solid initial maltiness, not grainy but nice and biscuity, sharp, then the main show is plenty of lemony, citric hops, quite oily butflavoursome. Lots of bitterness, surprisingly so in this type of beer. Really pretty enjoyable, i’d love to try it on a hot summers evening, but we don’t get many of them.

Koelschtrinker (8464) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 3, 2011
Mal was Anderes! 7/9/9/8/10/9

Golden colour with nice frothy head. Dry malt aroma with some german hops. Dry bitterness coming from Saaz hops (?)which lingers pleasantly. A classic pils.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2003 This beer rocks! I'm not a huge fan of pilseners, but this is a damn good beer. The nose is spicey, buttery and slightly floral...with a hint of honey. A sharp, well-hopped beer with a very crisp, dry finish. A hint of clover honey at the wee end. As I stated, not my favorite style, but a damn nice effort nonetheless!

Bov (8158) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - OCT 13, 2009
courtesy of Allen - At last, I have been able to put my hands and my nose on this old classic; slightly hazy golden-yellow colour; little white foam; dusty and very hoppy nose with notes of flowers, citrus, apple and grapefruit; good malt body and with a juicy palate, solidly bitter; quite dry and long bitter fruity and flowery finish - tasty and with a lot of character: a fantastic brew

pivnizub (7977) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - AUG 29, 2009
Bottle: Clear, pale golden with a greenish sheen, quite stable white lacy head; very solid aromatic piney hoppy nose with some shy pale-malty support; full dry bitter flavour, soft and light bodied; dry - very hoppy - bitter finish. Good hoppy stuff, but lacks the presence of a malty body, that is necessary to become an excellent Pils..........
