4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 scraff (2118) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - AUG 4, 2009
12 oz - The WIne Source (best consumed by November 09). Chill hazed gold, creamy white head. Fresh grassy lemon zest aromas ride soft waves of peppered hay and honey bread. Crisp spicy peppered hop flavors balance well on a drying citric-grassy backbone. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, snappy bitter finish. A great summer refresher that to me is best in class...
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 mds (2115) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 26, 2005
bottle. translucent pale golden in appearance with a short-lasting frothy white head. great pilsener aroma - dusty saaz and sweet cookie dough. Perfectly drinkable! a good portion of hops and adequately bitter along with toast bread flavours. Nice balance. Lingering bitterness. I think this is an excellent example of the style when consumed fresh.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 BeerLimey (2112) - California, USA - NOV 15, 2001
Pale yellowy golden color, light cloudiness. profusion of small, precise, pinprick sized, bubbles. Wonderfully flowery aromatic nose, infused with herbs, a little minty, piney and suggestions of citrus. There’s some mild fruitiness, and a pale, almost toasty malt. There’s a hop flower on the label and this indeed is what makes the initial taste impression, tingling and challenging the taste buds, leaving bitter hop notes right across the palate. There’s some sweeter malt, that I struggled to define satisfactorily, but do provide an excellent balance, as they swim just below the more hoppy surface. The sweetness does materialize a little more as the beer warms, a subtle sugary lemon, while mid-palate there’s a tropical fruitiness, maybe pineapple juice, maybe pink grapefruit, but not quite full enough for me to define with too much certainty. The bitterness develops yet more noticeably in a tangy and exquisitely dry finish, lingering well into the aftertaste, while slowly and gradually, the sweeter lemony flavors come back to put out the flames.
Very refreshing, exceptionally crisp, deliciously bold and flavorful, a pilsner, for those of us who want a beer to taste what it’s supposed to taste like.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dorwart (2110) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - JAN 7, 2003
Decent thick head. Very strong aroma of hops and a slight ovetone of fruit? Light golden color. Smooth taste with more hops. Finish is dry and slightly bitter (yummy!) with more hops again. The best pilsner I have had yet. So much better than most of those imported (skunky) pilsners. PRIMA Victory!

Pours a light golden color with a white fading head. Smells of bitter roses with a slight hint of citrus. Taste is an excellent floral bitter citrus. Not a big fan of pilsners, but this one holds up very well.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mjg74 (2106) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAY 25, 2006
Bottled. Pours a light golden color with a medium sized white head. Slightly sweet grainy aroma. Some creaminess along with a sweet floral quality. Creamy mouthfeel. Good maltiness. Slightly hoppy graininess. Somewhat bitter finish with a little graininess. Nice Pils.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MIBRomeo (2105) - Wisconsin, USA - JUN 11, 2004
a very light golden color that held a very small head for a short time.
The aroma is quietly hoppy.
Thee beer carried a nice carbonation and had a bit of bite on the tounge.
The flavor is a crisp bitterness which is not surprising as even the smell contained the hoppy warning.
The flavor was rather refreshing but not overly suited to my own tastes
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 BelgianBeerGal (2105) - Dayton Area, Ohio, USA - AUG 7, 2008
Bottled. Pours a clear golden, yellow colour with lots of carbonation and a thin white head. Nice citrus hop aroma plus some sweetness balance. The hops are the first thing to hit the tongue, then the malt balances it well and it finishes with a bit of dry spice. Definitely near the top of the pils class.
