COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher.

Really great pils...with it’s wonderful spritzy carbonation and rampant beading. Good hop bitterness and floral notes. Light malt sweetness under the whole thing. So very good.

The famous Victory Prima Pils I’ve heard so much about lately is finally sitting in front of me. Pours slightly hazy with a very pale color and an enormous white head. I can smell the saaz from three feet away! This is one damn pungent pilsner. As I move the glass up to my nose the hop character kind of shifts to one of a much fruiter nature, the fresh hay is very strong on this one, but I’m not getting the honey I usually get from a great pils, not that it has to be there, it’s cool to have something that smells this good but is distinctly different from other beers of this nature. The flavor is nicely bitter with a good lemony citrus character! Plenty of that almost bracingly bitter saaz hop character is all over this one too, and it makes for a really good aftertaste, not something I usually take note of in a beer, but this one finishes particularly strong. There is some good malt flavor for balance here too, it’s really very minimally grainy but has a very nice honey flavor that rounds this one out remarkably. Wonderfully clean, very easy to drink, I’ve almost finished the bottle sitting here typing this, I’m generally finished with my rating well before the bottle is half gone, I really want to drink a lot of this!

Pours a very clear, see through bright, light yellow with a big, frothy white head that lingers for several minutes and remains very lacy. A nice look to this pils. Smells of sweet and spicy German malts with a good amount of hoppiness. Grassy and citrus. Nice to smell a pils with some life. Lots of grassy taste to this and quite bitter. Sweet and malty throughout as well as spicy. A sharp citrusy/grassy hop bitterness kicks in about half way through and lingers way past the end. Excellent balance. Overall, a great take on the style. The added hops make this truly enjoyable and easily my favorite pils.

Wow what a pilsener! Huge hoppy aromas, earthy/grassy. Clear Golden in color with a large white mostly lasting head. Very bitter hop flavor with a very crisp and clean finish. One of the best pilseners out there.

Damn this is good!!! A most excellent beer after some yard work, it has a fantastic pilsner taste with a beautiful hop bite that is oh so missing in most beers like this. The beer pours out a medium gold color, slight haze with some carbonation present. Head was about 1/2 inch thick with an agressive pour and melted into just a scant 1/8" head. Aroma is lemony, hay, and a bit of sweet fruit. Medium bodied with a slight twinge of carbonation. Flavor is mild, with a touch of fruit, more grassy/hay character and a glorious bitterness that just works oh so well. A nice lingering bitter finish that is uplifting, never harsh. Incredible beer.

UPDATED: FEB 1, 2012 Pours light golden with a thin, fully receding white head. Aroma of grassy, herbal hops, bready lager yeast. Taste is very herbal, with notes of mint, intense noble hops and crackery pale malt. Resinous for a noble hop beer, but perfectly balanced. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, and slightly resinous with lively carbonation. Very well done pilsner!

Bottle. Pale yellow pour with a small white head. Aroma is sweatsock (Saaz hops). Honey on taste - very good pils!

Nice golden color with a slight haze to it.small white head that faded very quickly leaving a slight lacing on the side of the glass.Malty, fruity aroma with a pretty decent hop presence. There is also an almost off aroma there as well hard to describe it,but it isn't the most pleasant. The flavor was great Mildly malty semi-sweet with a very strong hop presence,a mild lemony taste as well in this brew with the after taste being mostly bitter hops but a harsh bitterness but a quite pleasant one instead, with the brew finishing off with a semi-dry feel.IMO this is one hell of a good pils, probably the best I've ever had.Thnaks to Wawood for sending this bad boy.
