Cloudy white lasting head on top of a golden coloured brew. Sticky lacing as well. Floral, fruity aroma, citrusy orange, with a prominent spiciness as well. Nice balance of flavour between malt and hops. Malty sweetness up front with a hint of light caramel. Spicy hop flavour and a nice lingering bitterness. Quality stuff... wish I had some more.

A soft pour yielded a glass 75% full of foam. The bottle must have been mishandled. Semi-sweet mild hoppy aroma very accurate to the style. The body is smooth and finishes moderately bitter, but crisp. A great pilsner.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lubiere (6707) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 25, 2003
Golden colour with nice frothy head. Dry malt aroma with some german hops. Dry bitterness coming from Saaz hops (?)which lingers pleasantly. A classic pils.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Koelschtrinker (6544) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - MAY 3, 2011
Mal was Anderes! 7/9/9/8/10/9

Pale yellow gold, big bubbled beer with yellowish tinted dense head, collapsing. Fresh flowery hops nose, going grassy but retaining a honeyish-blossom streak. Nice pils aromas, but somewhere in the back a little bit of cardboard or sprouts. Again honey, flowers and dry hop flavours, going over in a dry grainy malt taste. Excellent balance sweet-bitter, going nowhere too far in one direction or another. Just a tad metallic retronasal enforcing the hops character. Light but nowhere watery; very slight burning feeling. Very enjoyable pilsener. Not great, just right. Big thanks to Pivo and Nat!
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 maeib (6398) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - JUN 10, 2009
Bottle. A light gold yellowish beer with a minimal off white head. Aggressively hopped so that the crispness actually becomes too harsh. There is a late development of citrus fruit, but the bitterness comes in again too quickly to kill off those more delicate flavours. Hmmm. Really fails to deliver in the same way that Christoffel or Emersons do.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2008 Re-rated needed... or maybe not, whatever, this beer is good. Slightly skunky "typical lager" aroma which is smoothed by faint citrus. Flavors of grapefruit juice, almost like a sweet hefeweizen. Good body, probably the best pilsner I’ve had.
