COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2010 Spicy, grassy hops on a soft cereal carpet...Dry feel of hay accompanied by a light herbal note and an eagerness to try more...This is a superbly efficient trip to Bavaria...

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2011 Original rating from back in the day. Not too impressed. Grassy hops with some light grainy malt, kinda boring. Huge, frothy, white head with decent retention covering a nice golden colored beer. Taste is moderately bitter on the back end and very watery for 5.3%. Again, boring. Watery mouthfeel with lively carbonation. Victory makes better beers. 636314:3.2
A clean hop forward pilsner. Spicy and a touch fruity hop aroma. Flavor is balanced bitter, but the malt profile (sweet, bready grainy) out shines the spice and slight mint hop flavors. Lingering bitter finish is crisp.

Bottle. Light gold with a white head. Aromas are floral and grassy with grapefruit. Some light pine. Very hoppy. Flavours are sweet lemon with bitter and green resinous hops. One of the best pilseners I have had.

Pours gold with a finger’s length white head and nice medium bubbles that subside quickly. Smells of bananas, nutmeg, grapefruit and some other scents I cannot quite place. Unusually malty in taste and not quite as bitter as I’ve come to expect out of a pilsner. Slight bitter finish. Not bad overall.

Original rating in april 2004. Beautiful golden body, clear with a huge rocky and foamy pure white head. Aroma is grassy, full on Saaz: spicy and flowery, herbs and bready hay. Milder than expected, but I love the saaz here or maybe it had been too long since I last smelled it. Tongue-biting body, airy, creamy, great support fom a good medium body. Malt bite early on, in a honeyish fashion, but most of the flavor development is all about the flavorful saaz that makes us believe we’re actually chewing on flowers and some lemon peaks. Something makes me say hallertau too, but I’m no expert at picking hops used. Extremely refreshing and crisp. Wonderful beer for a hot day.
Re-tried on tap at the Gingerman (NYC) and I was very impressed once again by the fragrant hoppiness of that one. Bottles don’t keep their freshness very long, but this particular pint was vibrant with floral, herbal, spicy hops that overcame the soft, biscuity malts. Immensely dry and satisfying to me hence the score bumping up.

Crisp pils with fruit, lemony citrus. Like a fruit wine. Good straightforward pils, for a change. Good hops. Wasn’t very popular, but I appreciated for the style. Aah refreshing! Smooth, not much to look at. Thanks Mr_kimchee for the sample.

A very good pils. Pours gold with good head and lacing. Aromas of hops, citrus, and underlying malt. Finishes very smooth, slightly dry, with blasts of hops and slight citrus. Great pils.

Light golden pour with a generous off-white head. Huge aroma for the style, with plenty of hops, honey, and apricots. Very smooth in the front of the mouth, with bready malt hitting the taste buds first. Hops come through after that, and carry through for a nice long slightly bitter finish. Loved the hop presence in here! Very easy drinking, and easily the best pils I have found to date.
