3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 BückDich (5468) - McCall, Idaho, USA - AUG 31, 2003
Pours a shimmering gold color with shining edges, not watery looking like most. Aroma is mainly malty with effects of hops shining through. Flavor is smooth and mild, so easy to drink but still with some great hop esters. I really liked this one and it taught me never to underestimate a pils.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jerc (5444) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 10, 2003
UPDATED: JUL 2, 2008 2008-07-02. Crisp yellow body with a modest white head that fades. Aroma of grassy straw hops. Similar flavour has lots of grassy noble hops, pleasant bitterness throughout. Crisp average palate. Solid pilsener. 7/3/7/3/14 - 3.4Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo
Nov 2000 - Lots of hops, good for a pilsener (not one of my favourite styles). Would try it again if the opportunity arose. 7/4/5/3/11 - 3.0
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Cornfield (5239) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - SEP 7, 2005
One of the best Pilseners from the U.S. Nice clear yellow, lively carbonation, a foamy white head - - All of that sets you up for a crisp, tasty beer, sweet malt with solid floral hop bitterness. That hopping comes out excellently in the aroma as well as in the snappy, bitter finish. This is a beer to keep on hand to get your BMC friends introduced to quality craft beers.

As I promised I gave this beer second try. As I suspected the first sample was not as fresh as it could be. Great hop nose, soft medium with sweet well refined malt. Very Bohemian like. Gold pils with great lacing .Medium body, slightly dry with unusual oily tone. Bitter roundup supported with strong enough for that malt. Dry alcohol is just great add-on. I did worry that this Pils as is in many cases will be over hopped. Here it is not the case, hefty but sensible amount. Great brew!
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ernest (5116) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 9, 2002
UPDATED: SEP 2, 2006 Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers), moderately yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent. Quite yeasty/unrefined. Not a very good example IMHO.
4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 Dickinsonbeer (5077) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - MAR 10, 2002
This is my first post so i figured i would rate my favorite beer. This beer took some getting used to, as I didnt particularly like it the first time I tried it. After a few of these, it became very enjoyable. The aroma of the saaz hops are almost overwhelming but that is a good thing. The appearance was outstanding, pour this one in a glass and you will understand. Suprisingly huge overall taste, despite how clear and light it looked. A light whitish head that had a great retention. This is my favorite beer from my favorite brewery. Thanks Victory!!
