bp (309), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA May 10, 2008 Bottle: pours a clear, golden amber with a frothy white head, hoppy, citrus and honey aroma, taste is mildly hoppy with a slight sweetness, crisp and clean. A great pilsner. Worthy of all the praise it gets.
probstk (695), Nepean, Ontario, Canada Oct 8, 2008 12 fl. oz. bottle from BOTW (Rochester), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. SE04/08.
App.: Golden, clear, decent white head.
Aroma: Fruity, biscuits, bread crust, slightly soapy, some green and pepper hops, an odd aroma that I can’t describe and don’t like...
Palate: Medium+ body, fairly soft carbonation, smooth.
Flav.: Lightly fruity, much more hops – grassy, peppery, and still soapy, may be some light tropical fruit esters; dry with fair bitterness.
Nicht prima, aber gut. Monty1163 (1), , Ohio, USA does not count Oct 3, 2008 Aroma - Pleasant aroma balanced hop & malt and something else...
Appearance - Traditional golden fizzy
Flavor - Complex and Yum strong spicy hop presence.
Palate - the good stays with you all the way to the back of the tongue.
OI - Great beer will definitely buy again. I am usually partial to ales but never scoff at a great beer no matter the style. This beer has a nice balance on noticeable hops that are missing in many pils
daknole (852), Plantation, Florida, USA Oct 1, 2008 Cloudy golden pour with a nice head. Aroma is not your typical pils by any means. You can tell it has some pils qualities but the delicious hops in the nose set this one apart from most. Flavor is yeasty and hoppy...but not bitter or resiny. This is a good beer. I am very glad I finally got to try it. jrmac (137), USA Sep 30, 2008 Decent, but for me I was expecting more. Taste and smells like hops. Just a touch of barely existent malt. Not a repeater for me. AmEricanbrew (1009), Swamp Shreveport, Left Coast, Louisiana, USA Sep 30, 2008 Hazy gold with a white head. Big yeasty, peppery pale lager aromas. Medium body with a rough mouthfeel. Nice flavor is dryish spices with dusty pale malts. Has a peppery dry bitterness to finish. Nice Pils.
