COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher.

Pale saffron body with a one-finger light-tan head that gradually reduces to a thin cap. Husky malt with a very herbal hop sharpness on top. Some lemongrass and floweriness. Grassy hops are at the fore here. The herbal quality runs over the light biscuity malt flavor before melding into a refreshing bitterness. The finish maintains this raw hop bitterness and introduces a sweeter malt flavor, perhaps honey-like. Some lemon zest on the sides of the tongue. Lively carbonation, light body, and extremely refreshing. Smooth in the mouth and very easy to drink. This is the Reality Czeck of German Pilseners.

Pours pretty clear, little yellow in there, small head. Smells very refreshing, hoppy. Taste is extremely crisp with a strong burst of hops. Leaves the mouth feeling refreshed and energized. Delicious beer.

Pint glass, beer was on ice for several hours, hot/humid day. I had it with tacos with a smoke jalapeno sauce. Very clear yellow/pale color and a a finish to match. Aroma is dominated by citrus and pine - excellent. May be slightly over carbonated and a little thin but I’m reaching because this beer is very very good. It may be the best pils I have ever had. Anyway, nice hop aroma and flavor but very little bitterness. Wonderful pilsener and perfect summer brew that goes down really easy. Its a light easy drinking pils thats great with food. Like the beer equivalent of a fine dry chardonnay.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2011 Poured from bottle into Pilsner glass. Clear, bright gold with a stark white head. Aroma of fresh cut grass, straw and some spiciness. Backbone of fruit (apple, pear?), bread, grass and straw which is quickly overtaken by a very spicy finish. Leaves a persistent bitter aftertaste. Moderate carbonation (but lower than many Pils; I like it) and relatively smooth light to medium body. Finishes exceedingly dry. Damn good Pils; in fact, maybe the best. What else is there to say?

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2007 Massive white head that will not disiipate and forms Alps-like structures, yellow in a pilsner glass. Slightly hoppy, sweet aroma. Very hoppy flavor profile, a bit sweet with hints of dark fruits. Complex. Finishes in balance of bitterness and light caramel. Was looking for a world class American pilsner and found it. Wonderful.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2010 Bottled. Beautiful pale yellow (very pale indeed) beer with a lacing white head. Absolutely fantastic aroma of sweat, gooseberries, pineapple, clotted cream, wonderful hops, blood orange, rose, elderflower, wild strawberries and basil. Great taste where the gooseberry component is rather present. A cheeky interpretation of the style. Long dryish finish which is reminiscent of tropical fruit. Good bitterness. Complex. Definitely a top notch Pilsener. Flawless. Incredible. A "must try" for any fan of the style.

bottle- the best out there for me- super huge saaz hops nose, followed by a crisp hoppy bite and sufficient pilsner malt support- Wow.

I really like the way the hops are the focus of this, the malt and yeast support the flavors of the hops. I could drink these any time since the noble hop flavors are there and fresh with some nice herbal and floral elements. The finish is dry which keeps you coming back for more. Prima is a great example of an American Pilsner that pays tribute to German Pils yet puts their own stamp on it.
