COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher.

Retched aroma reminds me of BMC with a higher hop content. Pours to a very light yellow/gold with a large firm head. The beer is rough on the palette with overpowering bitterness. Flavors, with the exception of hops, are understated. Once you get used to the bitterness, there is a malty smoothness that is somewhat refreshing.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2007 I think this is overrated. A pilsner must be dry to be refreshing. Prima pils is badly oversweet. I didn’t really like the hop balance either. Yeah I was right on! OVERRATED

Art of Beer Festival 2004: Has a clear golden color with little head. Smell is of light hops. Taste is lighty malted and finished with a light hop bitterness. Overall not the best pils.

Had a beer tasting a few weeks ago, this was hands down the lowest ranked beer in the lot. I did not enjoy it at all. Small head, aroma definitely on the skunky side. Couldnt tell if the beer tasted old or not quite ready. A disappointment from Victory

(Bottle) I was disappointed with this one. This beer tasted a lot more to me like a poorly executed Pale Ale than a Pilsner...there was none of the grassy quality that good Czech pilsners have, and none of that clean, crispness that both German and Czech varities exhibit. Hoppier than typical for a Pils, and the malt is too heavy. Listiglovers below remarked "Seems like the bitterness of an IPA without the strong flavour, instead the flavour of a Pilsner."--I think he hit the nail on the head here. I think they need to work on this one if they want to really fit the style authentically--and also if they want to produce a truly quality brew.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2009 Bottle from jj57jdnbf86789dbnd7hj3 or whatever his name is. My god what a disapointment, any half ass german pils will rip the tits out this overrated fellow. Aroma is cornish,m grainy pale malts, grassy hints of lemon. Taste is similar, easy goling yes, but dry grassy pritty bland, incredibly average. RERATE: Upto 4.3 from 2.5. Bottle in the rake. Alround rating: Gorgeous hoppy fresh, awsome mix of great lager malts and leafy hopness. Alround one of those one’s i wanted to rerate as i knew the bottle i had was old and poor and i was right.

The pilseners are not my favorite type of beer and I don’t really find much special about this one. It has a tart flavor with a grapefruit accent and malty undertones.

I did not like this beer at all. The aroma was especially unpleasant. It had a crisp, citrus taste that was kind of strange. Compared to other beers, it tasted watery and thin. I think some might reconsider high ratings when it is compared alongside stronger beers.

12oz bottle, not impressed, someewhat like a Tecate/Modelo taste to it! Clear pale gold pilsner, smells skunked. Thin head. The taste is a little bit bitter which is nice but also quite metallic.

Golden beer with a minimal white head. Smells of freshly cut grass. Tastes like it too, grassy/floral and quite hoppy. Much like a standard IPA, but the bitterness is not as strong, very smooth and easy to drink. Leaves a dry aftertaste. Not bad, but not all that great either.
