COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher.

(Bottle) I was disappointed with this one. This beer tasted a lot more to me like a poorly executed Pale Ale than a Pilsner...there was none of the grassy quality that good Czech pilsners have, and none of that clean, crispness that both German and Czech varities exhibit. Hoppier than typical for a Pils, and the malt is too heavy. Listiglovers below remarked "Seems like the bitterness of an IPA without the strong flavour, instead the flavour of a Pilsner."--I think he hit the nail on the head here. I think they need to work on this one if they want to really fit the style authentically--and also if they want to produce a truly quality brew.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2009 Bottle from jj57jdnbf86789dbnd7hj3 or whatever his name is. My god what a disapointment, any half ass german pils will rip the tits out this overrated fellow. Aroma is cornish,m grainy pale malts, grassy hints of lemon. Taste is similar, easy goling yes, but dry grassy pritty bland, incredibly average. RERATE: Upto 4.3 from 2.5. Bottle in the rake. Alround rating: Gorgeous hoppy fresh, awsome mix of great lager malts and leafy hopness. Alround one of those one’s i wanted to rerate as i knew the bottle i had was old and poor and i was right.

Bottle at mom’s over christmas. God I hate this style. I thought every heineken and urquell I had had was skunky. Now I know it’s the pilsner style. Overpowering bitters is not what I need in a beer.

Bottled. Beer is clear, medium gold colored with a small, frothy, white, mostly diminishing head. The aroma is malty with moderate notes of slightly husky toasted grain, toasted bread, trace of toasted almond; Hoppy with moderate notes of resin/pine, lemon zest; Yeasty with a moderate note of wet bread dough; Trace misc. note of bubble gum. The flavor is lightly sweet, moderate bitterness that grows heavy, finish is shorter—lightly bitter, lightly acidic. Nets out a touch watery. The body is light, the texture is watery and the carbonation is lively.

12 oz Bottle-Clear golden color w/a moderate foamy white head. Had quite a hoppy bite on the inital taste, mellowed out some as you drank it, but not a lot. I didn’t detect any malt at all. Reminded me of an APA or IPA. Long dry finish-just OK, not one of Victory’s best.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2008 Bought this in a Victory Variety pack. Not a big fan of this hoppy pilsener. However, despite the bitterness and hops it is drinkable. Had this again, smelled very funny, tasted even funnier.

Bottle. Pours golden with slight haze and thin white head. Grassy, hoppy aroma. Big hops up front with a grassy, grapefruit flavor. I do like the dry finish but its a bit funky and muddled at the beginning especially for a pilsener. Just okay in my opinion, I’m surprised by all the hype.

Pours a hazy golden yellow, nose is somewhat flat. Taste was not as flavorful as I expected, did have some citrus notes. Finish short and dry, was a little disappointing , or maybe I need to stay away Pilseners .......anyway will pass on this one. Quaff Score 3 / 10

Golden Coloring. Good Head. Hops all around. Bitterness. May want to try again for re-rating...but for a Pils, very good.

aroma - pleasing; appearance - cloudy and not very attractive; flavor - hoppy and citrusy/spicey; palate - pleasing to the mouth; overall - some woody flavor combined with hops doesn't spell a spectacular beer however, it is a good beer. i'll try this beer again, next time at a warmer temp. it's just got to be better.
