Bottle: Poured a clear golden colored beer with almost no head. Carbonation is really weak which seems to be a problem with some of the Victory that I had lately. Aroma is quite subtle has I would expect of a pils but the taste is way too sweet for a pils. I’m guessing they put too much of cascade hops in this. There is some way better pils out there.

Sunny, pale gold and crystal clear, with a decently fluffy cap of foam. Woody, spicy, and grainy aromas, with an undercurrent of wet rust. Crisp and spicy in flavor, but possibly the least-malty brew to pass these lips in a decade. Where's the beer? Finishes light and dry, 'though with an appropriately bitter aftertaste. Could be a hopped-up version of something you buy in a big can at the gas station.

Plain golden, small head... nothing special here... Skunky and sewery smell... not awful, but this really isn't enticing me to take a sip. Well the taste is much much better than the smell. Strong floral, but also bitter and crisp. However, it's not really my thing.

Skunked and shitty hay aroma. Hazy yellow with a greenish hue, headless. Bitter lemon grass with a lemon zest finish. Slightly oxidized. Could be much better.

Bottle. Light body with a dry finish, no real taste with a yeasty smell. Ease of drinking with taste and lightness.

Pours a clean golden yellow color with aroma of flowers and hops. THis beer appears light and refreshing but its taste and palate tricks you. Its a hoppy tasting beer with a bitter aftertaste. A dry beer that I am not a fan of.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks zvikar. Clear greenish blond with a faint aroma. When stirred, sweet fruitiness appear. Thin, watery and non distinctive taste. Soft carbonation, light body. Insignificant.

????? When I was looking here for another Pils to try I checked the top 10 page and noticed this one being number 1! I thought well, I gotta try this one if its true what the reviews are saying then i am missing out on something. Said and done I went to Bevmo and got me a six pack (which I thought was very expensive 8.99$ but well you gotta pay for quality). After cooling the beer I couldn"t wait to try it. It pourd in with a nice white head. The color was light golden with a bit of a haze. But then..... bummer!! The taste of this one is not what I was used from a Pilsener! Bitter fruity sour flavor which is definately overhopped for this style of beer(and I consider myself being a hophead cause I like heavily overhopped IPA"s) . Not that there is a rule but again I found it disturbinly overpowering and not suited for this style. You keep this bitter/oevrpwoering sourtaste in your mouth for quite a while! The aroma was also a surprise which means it didn"t smell as pleaseant as I expected (to be not offensive). So overall I didn"t like it and I am surprised about the rating it gets here. Maybe it is better freshly draft but for 8.99 the six-pack it was definately not worth it!

Volgon is telling me that i would like this a lot more if it was a burningly hot day. it's not a burningly hot day. it's a stunningly cold day. i even saw some snow falling. it had the appearance of fresh Bud. the aroma was a little different, but i didn't much care for it. it had a wincing flavor with a mild and somewhat ok aftertaste. There's a crappy chain of supermarkets around here called Victory. i bet there's a connection.

UPDATED: FEB 1, 2003 What in the name of Josef Groll is this crap. My first reaction of this stuff when trying to poor it into one of my nice pilsner glasses was it had gone bad since I had 1 inch of beer and 7 inches of foam. After scooping out the foam and while holding the glass and bottle nearly horizontial I was able to get a half glass of beer. Next reaction was that I had a bad batch since the beer was cloudy. The taste is like a fish who drank a IPA and pissed this out. So I was going to give it a pass until reading the reviews here and found out it is supposed to be cloudy in appearance. Highly disappointing given the rating for this beer on this site. Re-rate: Tried again when it was nearly frozen and it was less offensive. The cap did not explode off the bottle, the head more managable, and the flavor more subdued. The other flavors come out while the hops are hidden better than when this beer is warmer.
