4.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Ubiquibeer (140) - Cleveland, USA - AUG 22, 2003
For a long time I have searched for an American pils that would remind me of the 3 glorious beer drinking years I spent in Germany. I was always disappointed--that is until now. Pours a golden color with a lot of small bubbles, and a beautiful head that lingers forever. I was initially put off by certain characteristics of the aroma, but all that was quickly forgotten with my first sip. This, my friends, is a delicious pils, the rival of any I had in Germany. A rich malty taste with a beautiful bitterness at the end. Although I still am an IPA man, this is perhaps the best pils I have ever had, including my former favorite, Jever pils. Excellent.

really light yellow, clear pour. a bit murky pale golden colored body. huge, very pretty, white pillowy head that's filled with peaks and valleys. mmm yes! sweet and a bit spicy/lemonpepper with dry finish. crisp, good, a bit bitter. refreshing.

Pours an extremely pale straw color with a nice head, leaving lots o’ lace. Aroma is floral, grassy, and spicy with some malty, grainy notes. Flavor is dominated by herbal, spicy hops and almost has a touch of mint. Dry mouthfeel with piney hop resins and spice in the aftertaste. This beer is a hands-down extremely refreshing, excellent pils.

Very dry with citric hops. Long dry hoppy finish. Great beer. Thanks to Springslicker!

This is my favorite Pilsener. Pours a clear golden color, with a medium sized pure white head, which is mostly diminishing. A hoppy, citrusy aroma. The hops dominate the flavor, but the subtle undertones provided by the malts is what sets this Pilsener apart. Finish is long and dry. Another hit from Victory!

This I liked. The Braumeister is very similar, though far less bitter. I felt that what this had was more body and flavor, as well as bitterness. I was happy to be able to find another nice session ale from this place. A great beer.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2009 White short lasting head, with a nice balanced smell of fruity and floral and very fresh, clean hops. Decent amount of bitterness up front with a honey, malty sweetness following. Good hop presence that fades into a semi quick slight bitter finish. Grassy, and floral and very fresh hop like flavor. 2nd time I’ve had this and I really like this beer much more than the 1st time around. Great, refreshing beer.
