UPDATED: AUG 28, 2010 poured almost clear with a yellow stain..The head started over 2″ thick but settled completely lopsided and evil.. the aroma was filled with straw, grass, soil, wheat, bananas... Flavor was wheaty with banana flickerings..spicy..almost like a hidden hefeweizen..

pours golden with lively co2, hop bitterness upfront, then slight maltiness follwed by a pleasent lingering hoppiness, overall a very enjoyable pilsner

Light , hazy, poured into a huge long lasting head.I looks like Mr Bubbles has entered my glass.Light crisp clean, a touch bitter, quite refreshing. Something about the after taste just doesn’t set well with me .grassy, malty some hops, perfume. Not really my style still another good one from Victory.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 loweredsixth (946) - Clovis, California, USA - JUN 12, 2003
Clear golden color with a thick white head. The aroma was strong...pepper, hops, sweat sock, herbs, flowers. The flavor was equally substantial...pepper, tons of hops...cigarette ashes, herbs. Crisp, tight feel...dry finish. This is certainly the best pilsner I've ever had...or could ever imagine.

UPDATED: NOV 10, 2010 Spicy, grassy hops on a soft cereal carpet...Dry feel of hay accompanied by a light herbal note and an eagerness to try more...This is a superbly efficient trip to Bavaria...
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 daalamar (403) - new albany, Indiana, USA - NOV 28, 2002
Assuredly the best Pilsner that I have yet tried. A hazy yellow color with a tremendous head that slowly dissapates into a smooth layer that teaves a nice lace as you drink. Aroma is hops, and a sour grass herbal feel. Flavor is the same with just the slighgtest presance of malt. A wonderful beer, and I’ll be looking for more of the Victory lineup in the future.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 whaleman (2175) - North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 22, 2003
Very clear golden yellow body, mild carbonation, and tight pure white head that gradually caved and left some loose lacing. Fresh grassy European hop aroma with some nice pepper as well. Nice even bitterness with hints of butter, honey, salt, ginger spice, and pepper. A great pils.
