COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Ingredients: 2 row German pale malt; Czech Saaz, German Northern Brewer hops.
Heaps o’ hops are hiding under the full, frothy head of this elegant Pils. All German malt subtleties linger beneath a long dry finish of this classy quencher. One of Michael Jackson’s 500 Classic Brews

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2013 First of all, let me say that Pilsener is my favorite style of beer. And that I have worked in 4 German Pils breweries. This is not a Pils, has nothing to do with Pils. It is an aggressively hopped American microbrew that tastes like a West Coast IPA. The hop nose is overpowering, the extreme hop oil flavor does not belong here. I do like the bitterness, but I get very little malt sweetness in the aftertaste. Just another over the top, sledgehammer beer from amateurs who have not yet learned how to brew a sophisticated Pilsener. "Prima" it is not.

From a bottle. Pours a golden straw color with a rocky head. Nice lacing and good cling. Good hop aroma. Cut grass, a bit of pine. The flavor is crisp with a whisper of upfront sweetness and then a beautiful burst of Hallertau hops. Just a bit of bitter citrus with slight piney notes in the finish. Otherwise, it’s a crisp, dry, hoppy pilsner. Fantastic!

From a bottle. Cloudy amber, with a tight white head that laces well, fresh aroma and great citrus flavours. I liked it a lot.

Slightly hazy yellow with a snowy white head that lasts as long as the glass does. The aroma is pleasant, nothing too special but no faults. Mostly malty crackers and yeast. The flavor though is amazing, herbal hops perfectly balanced with the biscuit malts. Smooth and moderately thick mouthfeel. This is seriously good stuff, nice to see some Continental hops put front and center.

The body has a bright golden yellow color with plenty of sparkling carbonation and great clarity. The head is a wonderful thick and creamy topping with good retention. It also makes great lace rings on the glass as I drink. The aroma hits you in the nose with spicy floral and grassy hops over pale malt. Its flavor is a crisp clean mix of its aroma. Hop flavor steals the show with bold spicy floral and grassy botanical notes. Underneath there is a pale crisp malt base that finishes dry with some nice clean hop bitterness. The palate is light to medium bodied with an easy drinking light wet texture. Carbonation is very active and helps to clean the palate.

This is one of those beers that you could compare to an ice cold lemonade not in the sense of taste, but in the sense that it is one of those beers that you would find so refreshing when you got home from a hard days work or something like that. This beer tastes absolutely amazing. It is one of the most refreshing things you will ever drink. One of the things that I don’t really like about it though is that the crown disappears fast. Other than that if you are an American looking for a domestic beer that you can honestly say that you are proud to drink, I suggest picking this up for a try.

12oz bottle into fluted glass - nose is lemon drop. Sip adds grass. Very crisp and refreshing. Really digging the hops in pilsners.

On draft. Possibly the best pilsener made in America. Big hops, big burst up front, then just kind of dissolves into a clean, dry finish. Flavors include lemon, white toast and the suggestion of pine resin. Could drink this every minute of summer.

Just another pilsner :( I really love this brewery and wanted something a little bit different from this beer. Not sure if it is just me not liking this particular beer or me not being a fan of pilsners? Anyway, tried it now and will stay away from it in the future, as well as, the rest of the pilsners out there!!

Pours a clear yellow. Nose is a touch floral - not the malt smell of a typical pils. Same is true for taste - some citrus and a touch of bitterness. This reminded me of a "light" IPA as opposed to a pils - but that works for me. Easy to drink, good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
