From tap. Orange pour. Taste and aroma are dominated by the centennial hop. Good malt balance. Great entry into the ranch catalogue.

Draft .. Nice thick head. Amazing floral, hoppy aroma. Cascade and centennial? Served in a sniffer. Firm malt backbone the does a good job balancing the hop flavor.

Draft at Jerry’s. Light, clear amber with frothy off-white head / Mild nose of pine, citrus, and caramel / Medium body, fat with low carbonation, sweet and lightly syrupy somewhat dominating the bitterness / Muddy flavors of spun sugar, orange zest, grapefruit, and caramel / On the clumsy side.

Draft at Capone’s. Pours medium copper with off-white head and spare lace. Nose was caramel malt, resiny hops, and tropical citrus. Tasted caramel malty, with a big tropical fruit flavoir, piney notes, and some black peppery flavor.

Draft at Blue Dog Lansdale. Pours deep copper with a finger of off-white head that goes away quickly. Nose is great; a lot of tangerine, pineapple, black pepper. Tastes very tropical citric, with a solid malt bill and the hops and fruit taking center stage. I’d really like to horizontal this with the Hop Wallop and compare/contrast.

Golden, medium bodied 2XIPA, with an earthy aroma and moderate bitterness. Flavor is a straight on hop bomb, a bit too one dimensional for my palate.

On draft at Brandon Brass Tap poured a golden color witj aromas of citrus, tropical fruit, floral notes and a touch of honey. Flavors are the same, light bitterness in the aftertaste a nice DIPA.

PhillyCraft (4765) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Sample at Capones, pours a amber with medium sized white head. Aromas were mostly malt, grapefruit, caramel, and pine. Taste was similiar with a more peppery hop profile, light malt. Medium bodied ipa from Victory. Not bad.

Draft. Copper pour with beige head. Citrus and fresh herbal hop aromas. Flavor comes with more of a sweet tone, light herbal hop tones.

phaleslu (8215) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Draft at BrewRiver. Just labeled "Victory Ranch Double IPA" and the bartenders had no idea that more than one of these existed. Looks like a lot of other people are having the same problem. They just got the keg this past week, so I’m assuming it’s the second batch. Pours a deep golden color with a centimeter of white head that settles into a ring. Aroma of juicy citrus and tropical fruits, sweet malts, herbs, honey, and pine resin. Flavor is the same but comes together better. Medium-bodied, with a citrusy, resinous, juicy mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Good DIPA.
