sinkr (121), Lusby, Maryland, USA Mar 24, 2008 Draft->English pint: Pours an average, light brown, creamy head with spare lacing atop of a clear brown body. Aroma is lightly malt and caramel, also with a light yeast aroma. The body is medium, creamy on the palate, and is slightly astringent with an average taste duration and lightly bitter finish. Not sure why I wasn’t so impressed with this beer--perhaps a re-taste is in the future (maybe they were @ the end of the keg)....It was late Sunday night when I tried this brew.
JoeMcPhee (3628), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jul 16, 2008 Tap at Blind Tiger. Deep brown-amber beer. Aroma is quite subtle, toasted lean malts with some light plummy fruit. Sweet and toasty with a kiss of caramelly mlats. Lighty chewy, sweet and a little bit fruity. Bready but there is a bit of light berryish fruit. A bit of lingering sweetness with a pronounced raspberry fruitiness. It is good, but it ain’t no dopplebock. grandet (300), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA May 18, 2008 Transfering tasting notes. Bottle. Very dark pour with an off white head. Nice roasted flavor with some hops lingering. Very smooth and enjoyable bigbobdog (24), USA Apr 2, 2008 clean reddish tinted beer. white head i highly reccommend it i get it when ever i can. one of my favorites gallac30 (24), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 30, 2008 Aroma of roasted sweet honey hops. Pour is dark with a beige head. Taste is very roasty with a sweet undertaste and the presence of flowery hops. The carbonation is not too overwhelming which leaves room for the taste. Finishes very smooth.
