4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20 Damico (1979) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 28, 2010
Growler poured at Greg’s in Lancaster, thank you gentleman. Unfortunately it was completely flat, hence the low palate rating, but still SUPER delicious. It poured a deep lemon color, lightly clouded. The aroma is the awesome sweet and wild funk you get from the Brett, I love it. The flavor of the wild yeast is dominant, but without the infected bite, it settles very smoothly on the palate. The Brett tamed the spiciness and still let the sweetness come through in a welcoming way on top of an excellent, however non-carbonated, medium to thick body.

Big fruity brett nose, tropical fruits, some honey, and pears. Taste is moderately sweet, lightly tart, light berry, some peach, light pineapple, and a touch of cotton candy. Light pepper on the finish. The brett really types the line of fruity and nail polish remover.

Capped hand bottle - poured a flat yellow. slightly cloudy with minimal head. citrus nose and some funkiness. Glad to try, but the sweetness overlaid on the sour brett flavors makes this one a bit complicated for me to enjoy. Smooth finish with a lingering lemon zest and sourness..

Handbottle thanks to thirdeye11.
I’m a huge Golden Monkey fan so I was really excited to try this. Clear golden pour with some head. Funky and earthy brett aroma with some grains and fruit. Very interesting take on the original.
