Victory Storm King Imperial Stout

Not quite Stone’s IRS, but pretty damn close, and cheaper. Absolutely wonderful, nearly perfect in every way.

bottle. Not much of a head but very dark black beer. Thick and creamy. Almost a little tar flavor. The good kind. Little chocolate and raelly smooth. Good job

On tap at Victory (Cask) - Poured black with a choppy tan head. Full roasted malt feel and a bold malt complexity. Hitting the back of the throat was a toasted smooth wash with a slight hop dark chocolate bitterness. Really good and fresh, cheers to the brewer some really nice beer.

12oz bottle. Pours dark black with tan head. Flavor is extremely full of roasted malts with espresso flavors and chocolate. A particularly nice bitter finish hides any traces of alcohol. Wonderful.

V - dark black with a root beer float like big head 4/5 A - roasted malts, toffee, coffee, brown sugar, dark fruits 8 T - malts, little touch of hops, fading coffee taste 7 P - small burst of carb and alcohol followed by a creamy palate 4

Pours pure black with a light brown head. Aroma is of roasted coffee and chocolate. This is a very rich and complex beer. Great balance with a slight hop kick. Absolutely delicious.

Almost black beer with creamy head and chocolate aroma. Dark chocolate and espresso flavors predominate with hints of raisin and floral hops. Creamy, rich and complex. I really liked this one!

hold this baby up to light and you can’t see through it. truly amazing imperial stout. aroma of smoke and molasses and coffee. flavor is complex, with tons of black coffee, bakers chocolate, roasted chocolate maltiness joining in a well balanced mix of hoppy bitterness. finish is bitter and dry and lasts forever. UPDATE: I tried the cask version today, and it was sublime. lots more creaminess, lots more liquorice, coffee, chocolate. brilliant.
