Commercial Description:
With a huge, Pacific Northwest hop aroma & character upfront, Storm King subsides into massive, roast malt complexity. More flavor than mere words can adequately describe. Rich and substantial, it will warm your heart.

Tap @ Monster B’s in Stamford; Sweet malt aroma and flavor with a pitch black body. Surprisingly alcohol taste is hidden despite the ABV. Very warming; perfect for the winter, but not too abrasive for a summer night.

Pours very black with a foamy frothy medium tan-colored head. A little bit of lacing. The head on this poured about 2 1/2 fingers. Aroma of molasses, coffee, and some sour raspberry notes. A dark burnt bitter chocolate flavor. Extremely dark roasted coffee, caramel, and a touch of raisins. A rich creamy body with a light, but full-bodied carbonation. It leaves a very bitter flavor like black coffee with a negative amount of sugar in it.

Poured from the bottle a dark black with a brown thick head. Immediate aroma of roasted smokey grains, coffee, caramel and chocolate. A think mouthfeel with the taste just like the aroma.

Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma of malt, actually fruity. Tastes of hops, roasty, coffee , slightly bitter. Rich, smooth and flavorful. Very nice stout

12 oz. bottle poured into tumbler- poured unchanged motor oil for a year black, tan whisps for a head, some lacing, medium carbonation that doesn’t get out of control. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, and hops. Hits the mouth with a wide and full body, malt is nicely roasted, hard black coffee comes in the middle and just sits on the tongue, finish has lingering coffee malt that won’t go away intertwined with hops that hide the alcohol. Balanced overall and a good wake up brew. I don’t plan on kicking it out of the fridge!

Very good stout, Black color with nice thick beige head. Nose is coffee, Choc and some dried fruits. Flavor profile is roasted dark malts, Choc , alcohol and again some coffee more like espresso, some hops on the finish, what a fantastic stout!!!

Not quite Stone’s IRS, but pretty damn close, and cheaper. Absolutely wonderful, nearly perfect in every way.

bottle. Not much of a head but very dark black beer. Thick and creamy. Almost a little tar flavor. The good kind. Little chocolate and raelly smooth. Good job
