Commercial Description:
With a huge, Pacific Northwest hop aroma & character upfront, Storm King subsides into massive, roast malt complexity. More flavor than mere words can adequately describe. Rich and substantial, it will warm your heart.

this is like a coffee stout and a double ipa had a love child. very hoppy, bitter carmel aftertaste. very good beer, but not your typical imperial stout.

If you want hair on your chest, this is the beer for you. Overly burnt taste at first sip and leaves a bitter aftertaste. It’s not terrible but, to me, it’s not the best example of its varity.

this beer is beautiful, it has a beautiful tan head. Great taste of hops, tastes of coffee and a little caramel. The mouth taste and feel are good. I like this one a lot and would buy again.

This is my kind of Imperial Stout. Caramel, toffee, coffee, chocolate, roasted malts. More hops at the end than most of this style. Balances it out better and makes one great beer.

The pour was a dark midnight color with limited color deviations on the side or if you tip the glass. A respectable head light tan head and decent lace remains with the beer. Impressive even the lace has a tan tinge to it. The smell has big hints of strong malt and coffee flavors. Some other aromas confine of figs and a little bit of brown sugar. Not really sweet but more of an off sweet smell. A good roasted presence but not really any strong phenol smells. The taste if very rich. A big malt sweetness hello matched nicely with a caramel toffee taste to it. Hints of roasted and stronger rich chocolate tones. A very complex malt flavor that mixes well with a pretty ample hop flavor. More then typical, I would say. Impressive about this beer is a great body flavor and the big ABV is easily masked. A smooth and highly drinkable taste.

Received via trade with SQNfan...you’re a ROCKSTAR my friend!!! Mildly disappointed in this one. Have you ever looked forward to something so much that the event itself just left you wanting more??? That was the situation here. Belgian dark chocolate pour with a 1/4 inch khaki head. A whiff of this stuff leaves roasted coffee in your nostrils...does "dark" have an aroma??? Couldn’t pinpoint it but it smells thicker than it is. Flavor is overbearing smoke and hop bitterness that doesn’t compliment extremely well. After tasting the likes of Speedway, Founders Breakfast, Bell’s Batch 7000...this is definitely a notch below.

Very smooth. Black pour but not as viscous as some impys. Aroma is subtle chocolate and roasted malt. Taste Bitter chocolate and sharp hops. Lingering finish.

Pours black with a medium sized tan head. Aroma is of Dark Chocolate and coffee. The taste is coffee with a fairly strong hop bitterness.
