Jul 30, 2009 Bottle. Pours a black body with a tan creamy coffee head. Very roast y aroma, almost astringent its so strong. Like paint thinner and espresso. A dark chocolate bitter chocolate stout, with a earth y bitter roast finish. Warm harsh coffee finish. Good but a bit to harsh on the burnt coffee character.

Jul 30, 2009 Bottle from Huckleberries in Spokane. Pours almost black with a nice tan head. Deep roasted coffee and chocolate notes. A very good stout. Thumbs up for sure.

Jul 28, 2009 moderate hoppy aroma and medium strength alchohol. Dark tan foamy head slow to develop but long lasting. Velvety medium body is excellent. Smooth extremely strong hoppy flavor with roasted aspect. Nice roasted finish.

Jul 22, 2009 Pours completely black with tan head/lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, dark fruit, chocolate, some pine hops as well. Similar taste, bitter coffee/pine hop finish. Pine finish was a little off-putting. Solid nonetheless.
